Never played it, but it probably makes playing the game a bit more frustrating to have hackers. Report and move on is all you really can do if the devs don't give a shit.
"if the devs don't give a shit"

Nexon in a nutshell. They usually don't do anything about it until it gets really really bad.
What's Nexon, and how bad does it get?

EDIT: Nexon is the developer, I read your post.
Pretty bad. I recall playing a while back last year when the game was pretty much unplayable due to constant fly-hacks, instant kill hacks, and wall hacks in about 7/8 games you joined. This lasted about a month until they finally got around to patching it.

Play L4D2 as a full tank team being shot at from atop the bridge on 360 is less then pleasant. Then,I get to the top kill 2 of them and get perma-pushed into a building. Was not fun.
That sucks, how'd you get a full Tank team anyways?
I have no idea.I think someone on the survivor side hacked and did it.What I want to know is how he did that on a 360.
Makes sense, Tanks can't jump and are slow moving compared to most special infected.
Yeah, would have killed if I could just be a smoker and drag that Roshelle at the lead to the player level.

One time I was playing GTA 4 with two friends. My friend C was in a car, while E and I were chasing this one guy down with our knives. He got in a semi-truck, I got in the passenger seat, E started stabbing the door, and C showed up and put bombs on the truck.
That's when it took off into the sky and started flying around and under the map. My friends were like "uh, you just got in the truck with a hacker" and I'm like "is this what it's like to be abducted?" Nevertheless, it was quite amusing.

I report them when I see 'em, as well as those people who send the "10th prestige lobby" messages. Doing my part for the community and all that.

There was a time when I was playing Modern Warfare 2 when the movement speed was drastically increased on every single game mode. It lasted around 20 minuets, taking 1 step sent you flying 30 feet in any given direction. After backing out of the 3rd lobby that had the super speed thing goin' on, and joining yet another lobby with the speed, I got fed up with backing out so I decided to just play and deal with it, plus I was host of the lobby for once and I never get host. But as my luck would have it, for what ever reason the people in this new lobby weren't aware of the super speed thing, and when they saw it during the match, they pegged me as the one responsible because I was host and sent me a slew of "colorful" voice messages in protest. Never been called so many insults in a 15 second time frame in my life, and never got to be host again either. lol

Finding a game with no hackers in games like Combat Arms and any of the "old" COD games is the equivilent to finding the holy grail.

Weird from what I've seen hackers get banned or kicked off servers rather fast. All you have to do is find a decent server with a good community behind it. Easy enough to find with any active game.

Those guys are making one of the biggest mistakes, threatening and yelling at hackers is what they enjoy and makes them do it more, their like trolls.

i play mw2 and the hacked lobbys are annoying sometimes, but thats ok, i have a program which saves a backup of stats, lvl, classes, titles and emblems every 15 minutes. hackers are actually rare. maybe one wh per week. and its normally pretty easy to bash'em:
hacker is hacking
me: "even your parents hate you"
hacker: "i have tools to destroy ur stats"
me: "i have backups"
hacker: "fuck you"
hacker leaves the game
Let me guess, he sounded like his balls haven't dropped yet? Anyways, no such luck for WAW, the hackers have taken over.

Playing any Call of Duty game other than Black Ops (although it soon will join the ranks of the other CODs) really makes you appreciate dedicated servers and moderators. I'm talking about hackers in the multiplayer, the asshats who have god-mode, no-clip, rate-of-fire cranked to 11 with stupid flashy gamertags. I make it a point to report everyone of these guys/gals I have the "pleasure" of meeting, but recently it's been taking up too much time per game. I'm sitting there for half a minute having to report 1-4 people and the only fuzzy feeling I get from it is the thought that the one's with higher gamerscores will suffer more if they get banned.
*does the PC gamer elitist dance* I'm better than you, I'm better than you, because of my choice of platform! Oh yeah!

But seriously though, yeah, it's bad. I had CoD4 for Xbox and I traded it in yesterday because it was so bad. It's sad too, because that's my favorite CoD multiplayer. Evidently MW2 just got a patch that killed hacks, so I picked that up. We'll see how it goes. Oh, and I'll never play online multiplayer on my PS3 because of the fucking jailbreak.

There is one hack I approve of though. Infinite ammo in Zombies. I'm always excited when I get into a game with someone with this hack because sometimes I just want to wantonly blow some zombie heads off.

Nazi Zombies used to be fun in that game. They made NAZI ZOMBIES unfun! How do you do that?

OT: Report, move on, try to come to terms that I never have an impact on their numbers. It's a sad, depressing cycle, but dammit! I will fight this fight.

The first Gears of War was awful with glitchers. And there was nothing you could do.

On pc, when I encounter a hacker, I my team to see if its just not me, then report.

I don't have the map packs and only have Nacht der Untoten, how did they fuck it up? I mean I've seen people conjure up weapons and cannot die, but that's it. Sure it's not fun having to deal with what the mystery box deals you (although I must say I kick ass with a scoped kar98k) but it only subtracts a bit of the fun.

Oh I've talked to friends and outside of private matches between friends, which consoles also have, COD WAW for PC is just as fucked as the console versions.

It sucks because I love WAW. Also if they can make a mod killer for MW2 why can't they make one for WAW and COD4? There are still many people playing it and many would return if they did that. Hell appointing some dedicated players as moderators for the game, give them the ability to send a report, where the hackers point of view is recorded for the match and then they are banned and it can be reviewed if a mistake was made. But no, they continue to make a new game every year and a half and abandon their old one to the scumbags.

I don't mind modding for single player or co-operative gamemodes that much. But multiplayer should be left alone to those with modded consoles.

I think they're pathetic. I don't care about hacking the SP, I don't care about using console commands when the server op turns cheats on(Trust me, it's boatloads of fun to fire up, say, TF2, turn sv_cheats on, then put three or four buddies on Red and a ton of bots on Blu), but running hacks in normal multiplayer is just a dick move. Kind of makes me want to write a hack that, instead of triggering various anti-cheat systems and giving the user an advantage, simply crashes the game instead.
Nah, that punishes everyone. Why not make a counter hack/mod that disables all the mods the hackers are using, they suck without them anyways so you would essentially cripple them. That or make a mod that fries their xbox/make it explode.

I remember in the first Dungeon Siege, it was weird if you didn't use hacks or at least cheats to get your character to level 250 in all areas.

Personally, I'm not a fan of hacks. P2P only agitates this. At least in L4D you get a votekick option. All you can do playing CoD is leave the server and hope it doesn't put you back in the same server. Seriously, if you're not going to dedicated servers, you need votekick.

How I handle hacks in a game with dedicated server
1. Look for admin
2a. If there's an admin, have them ban hacker
2b. If no admin, leave server
3. Join new server

And P2P no votekick
1. Disconnect
2. Connect
3. Hope it puts you connect to another game

I'm not joking when I say that playing WaW would often have me join the same server two or three times in a row.

Believe me I know about connecting to the same fucking server in WAW, an addition, a boot kick would be a nice option in WAW and COD4. Maybe they could patch that in somehow?

I play COD4 on, sadly, PS3. It's my most favourite Call of duty, and it has pretty much been ruined by hackers. They have that stupid hack that gives everybody in the lobby super uncontrollable speed. I would rather be on Xbox, where you can report them but I don't have one.. yet, but I digress. I hate hackers who are little dumbasses who try to win a game that has lost 50% of its popularity in anywhere but the MLG circuit.
