this is so stupid. i am a frequent poster on 4chan, and have been for some years. /b/ used to stand for something, and it did meaningful things, like the AT&T attack. now i post manly on /o/ (the automotive board), and check in every once in awhile to see how bad things have really got, and its heart breaking and disgusting. im not sure if it was /b/ or ebaums thats at fault, but im disappointed in whomever it is. also, i would like to point out that all the reports i have seen claim that "4chan did this" or "4chan did that." 4chan really isnt that bad of a place, as long as you avoid certain boards, and especially /b/.

tl;dr if this was the work of /b/, dont blame all of 4chan for it. we're not all bad.

It would have been ten times funnier had the hackers turned all of the videos into rickroll videos.

Can you imagine how people would react?

haha. thats funny considering that meme was created by /b/ back when it was still good.

If I was any good at hacking and shit I would've done the same, just more clever and tasteful, like figure out how to get ahold of all the youtube accounts of the top subbed or most popular and then close them (not good ones though! Just all the ones whoring themselves out for money with a giant zombie army of retarded 12 year old trolls.) Then the next day, open them back up with no subs and vids, then send them a fake e-mail from the youtube staff saying, "Life's a *****, isn't it?"

Oh no, you mean there was a brief period of time where no one could access the "high quality" content of Justin Bieber? Alas, the poor children...:p

Even if porn was going a bit too far considering who would be seeing it, trolling Justin Bieber is a public service.

The rest of the world sees 4chan and ebaums as the reason why the internet is bad...

The rest of the people on the internet see something like this and their reaction is a rather playful "Oh, 4chan... You knock that off now!" And then we chuckle about it like a parent would to a toddler.

Look, I don't like Justin Bieber, but that doesn't mean I want to scar his fans for the rest of their lives with shock pornography. After all, his fanbase consists of, mostly, young teenage girls who really aren't used to this type of thing :/

My friend saw the original thread 2 hours before the hack on /b/.

Next time, drop the porn and just re-do all the sound with those damn horns from the world cup! ;)

This sounds like fun <3 And way more productive than 'trolling' 15 years old girls XD

With the government and big business increasingly wanting to exercise their fascist control over the internet, just so they can keep milking us for more money and spreading their bullshit propaganda, I for one hope there will always be anarchists like 4chan et al to keep them in their place, especially if they can do it in such an amusing way. God Bless The Hackers.

"Shake the foundations of the internet"? Who the fuck does he think he is...?

I hate how 4chan think they're like internet vigilantes/terrorists/whatever, they're all pathetic cunts to be honest.
