OP, If you dislike the banners, you can subscribe to the Pub Club which remove adverts.

The escapist i understand that you want to promote the other content on the site, but this is not the way to do this. having some douche from some rubbish cartoon made by a six year insult me whenever i want to watch a video. all i want to do is listen to the wisdom of Yahtzee Croshaw. but no. every. single. bloody. video. has the same guy delivering the same bloody message.

TAKE THE FUCKING ADS OFF THE START OF EVERY SINGLE FUCKING VIDEO.

DO YOU PEOPLE NOT HAVE SIDE BARS? UNDERBARS? ALL ADVERTISING THE SAME FUCKING THING.

I'd run a spell check on this and italicize every error, but, i can't be effd, i know that i'm being a bit of a hypocrite here, but if you're going to rant, at very least make sure you're using correct grammar.

There are a lot of adds on the site, but I don't get bothered by ads. Sometimes the top one comes down vertically instead of horizontally and I can't see the text behind it for some reason but a refresh will do.

What DOES annoy me is that something on the escapist site overloads my firefox and chrome. On chrome it'll freeze everything and then say flash has crashed or something (or shockwave). On firefox, the plugin container racks up a huge amount of memory and must be terminated from the task manager. What is this?

Try Opera Browser, the reason FireFox crashes is due to feature creeps from the plugins, Chrome crashes because the minute you open up a second tab it starts to chew up memory, Chrome when opened with one tab is effecient, check your task manager and open another website on a second tab the memory will spike.
