I just received my imported copy of Engel's new album, Threnody. It isn't released here in Sweden for another month or so, so I ordered it from Japan. Now I can experience it's awesomeness beforehand and also listen to the Japan only song.

The question here is: Have you ever imported something so you could get it before the others, or simply just because you couldn't wait?

(Disclaimer: To anyone who likes metal, I highly recommend Engels latest album. It has everything. Great riffs, great melodies, great singing, great screaming, and a great dark feel. Although I don't think all songs exist on Youtube yet.)

Well, remember LBP, those infamous copies that were taken off circulation due to the music... I have one, and I got it a week before release

Only reason in my mind to import is to get around censorship issues. I'm patient enough to wait an extra month or so if there is little difference.

I imported a PSP from Japan, I don't really know why though. I had loads of money and wanted a new handheld, it's still good though, just for the GTA and Monster Hunter games.

Back in the day, I'd import bootlegs that other people didn't know about, but that's about it. Most of the foreign stuff I'm into my friends AREN'T into--at least, not to the point where they'd care if I had it first. Besides, in this day and age, any music that has even a marginally large fan-base will likely be pirated months in advance, anyway.

(BTW: wtf is up with the forums not loading? It's not time for a ZP upload... >=| )
