Cheesy bun goodness
Enrapturing my senses
Tastebuds are in love.

Advanced infantry
State of the art weaponry
War already won.

Orange, red, white and green
Origin of term "brain freeze"
Over-all delight.

Take time to notice
Magestic birds of the air
Watch their act of flight.

Chirping little birds
Waiting for mother's return
And worms abounding.

A loud shouting voice
Quiet, it's four a.m.
You should try sleeping.

Scattered lined paper
Broken organization
Meant for her outbox.

Luck of the Irish
Not to be taken lightly
Finding lost items.

Chocolate filled cupcake
A raspberry covered top
Desirable treat.

Progressive snowfall
Slowly burrying my house
Top of chimney left.

Picket fence cartel
Filling me with rock and roll
Project 86.

Sunshine and coffee
One and the same for many
Morning miracles.

Blue helicopter
Sitting in a wheat field
Waiting for clearance.

Stops along the way
Hardly worth my mentioning
Boring bus depots.

Music keeping me
From losing my sanity
Thank you Mstrkrft.

Watching videos
Internet is being slow
Plenty of waiting

Oh man that thing is convoluted. Oh well.

Poetry at home
When we're learning it at school
I must be crazy

Same destination
Two paths, one made much too long
Time more than doubled.

Clouds veiling sun
Creating rainbowed sun dogs
Over snowy land.

Blueberry bagel
Hickory smoked beef jerky
Orange and banana.

Fog making its way
Across the lands and highways
Creeping us all out.

Diamond shapped window
Lone candle providing light
Wood craftman's workshop.

Travel West to East
To the Sunnyside of life
In search for a Jones.

Good times at The House
A Jones and chocolate brownie
Friendly helpful staff.

Games played behind me
Friends enjoying company
As they sip their coffee.

Leaving satisfied
My day a little brighter
Coming back quite soon.

Pine trees full of snow
Sunshine resting upon them
Making quite a sight.

Haiku's are easy.
But sometimes they don't make sense.
Refrigerator.

Me and my friend had to make a haiku for one of our classes, and we came up with this:

I hate all haikus
I burn them in the toilet
Oh the irony

I'm pretty sure we were the only ones who made an silly haiku.

I also have this pirates vs ninjas haiku, but I forgot it.

Woman in disguise
Pulling off a clever ruse
Leader of the heist.

Local crazy man
Claims of his sea-fairing ways
All within his mind.

Broken harmonics
Filling appartment above
Please just let me sleep.

Bag full of rainbows
Left laying in the alley
Who will find this gift?

Dropped at the roadside
Seemingly thought forgotten
But by the owner.

Easy death metal:
Growl into the microphone
Triggered double bass

Programming problem
Running into a brick wall
I need Excedrin

Building demolished
Memories of school days there
Mixed with the rubble

What is it about
"NO TURN ON RED" traffic signs
Can't be understood?

Know someone who can't figure out how haikus work? Tell 'em this:

Your haikus suck hard
5, 7, 5 syllables
Get it right, shithead

Off topic: Mydnyght, great avatar! And yes, there are a few, even within this thread *gasp!* who don't fully understand the rules of haiku, thanks for the reminder. OT:

Baseball in the park
Batter up, ready to swing
Better stay alert.

Peppermint pastries
Producing Christmas spirit
Pink and white delights.

Canadian goose
Frantically flying away
Towards safe waters.

Cattle on the hills
Grazing early spring pastures
Searching for some green.

Calf stuck in the mud
Calling out for its mother
Got out on its own.

I really hate those dumb things
They are dumb dumb dumb

OKAY, FROM THIS POINT ON: NO HAIKU BASHING PLEASE. EVEN IF IT'S TO BE IRONIC.

Spider searching out
Perfect place for its webbed home
Need to catch some flies.

Black fly on my leg
Contemplating its short life
Quickly forgotten.

Dog in the distance
Running merrily in play
Chasing grasshoppers.

Wheatfield swaying
Golden yellow in sunlight
Clear blue sky above.

Shiny brown beetle
Crawling through the dirt and hay
Brief stop upon rock.
