http://borealis.tk/

EDIT: Apparently .tk's are very suspicious, so click at your own risk I guess.

So, apparently Episode 3 will be getting some sort of reveal within the next few months. I'm exited as hell, and other than that I'm speechless.

So approximately June 13, 2011? That's probably a little off but whatever.

Looks interesting but I'm naturally questioning it's legitimacy. I hope it's real though.

.tk makes me veeeeeeeeeeery suspicious. Those are often phishing sites you know.

Actually, lets see what wikipedia says [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.tk]

Wikipedia said:
.tk domains were twice as likely as the global average to be used for "unwanted behaviors", including scams such as phishing and spam.
Oh yeah. Seems legit to me.

Wasn't there a topic like this an hour ago? And most people said that site it's most likely fake?

I am skeptical of this counter. it seems to say June 13, AND it appears in an odd time zone. You'd imagine that Valve would put the timer on PST or EST. Also, that is only a couple days after E3 ends. You would imagine that they would announce something at E3, not after.

I call fake. Doubt Valve would use a .tk page. They're usually phishing sites.

And now I'm off to scan my computer. Just in case.

If this were real, it wouldn't have a new zealand extension. Sorry, I wish this were true too.

EDIT: Ninjas, damn.

.tk = the country code for Tokelau, a South Pacific island under the control of New Zealand.

That seems pretty... random. Also if you notice the site has a little thing at the bottom that, when clicked, brings up a message saying that "Punching yourself in the head counteracts Valve time." It basically says to punch yourself in the face for a game release.

Also "Borealis" is written in the concept art on the right side of the screen. Its supposedly a big deal in the game series, and is supposed to be big in the next installment.

My thing is: This could be true. I mean, Valve might have put this up with a weird web-link to just mess with people, or it could have been some other random nerd who hates people who want this game. It seems real and fake enough at the same time.

I say, just wait until June 13 and see. They aren't doing much else, and they just made a sequel to Portal that apparently nudged at the next game. I wouldn't be surprised at an announcement that the game is in the works, but nothing more.

Even if this is fake, I do recall that the other episodes had no buildup until maybe a month before they were released to take people by surprise.

I'm calling BS on this. If it would indeed be released on June 13, I would assume Valve would be giving us notice very shortly if not already. What good is a surprise release for sales?

I dunno, they sprung the Potato Sack on people pretty abruptly and as far as I can tell, it was a massive success (or at least I'm assuming so, considering the way it overloaded the Steam servers for those few days).

Anyway, if this is legit (which I highly doubt, considering the .tk domain), I'm only wondering what sort of moneymaking scheme Valve has up their sleeves to rival the Potato Sack.
