Half-life Blue Shift

I recently purchased the Half-life full compilation but found that all the the games (Half-life, Opposing Force, Counter Strike) worked except Blue Shift which incidentally was the one I wanted to play.

I own a Acer laptop with a dual core processor, In-built intel graphics card and Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

Suggestions on how to get this to work?

PS I've been googling this for a while but didn't get any results in the slightest.

Could you go into more detail does the game fail to launch? Because I think Blue Shift crashes for me at a specific point and its a quite well known issue.

Also be sure to check out counterstrike I admin the most popular cs 1.6 UK servers theres an unbelievable amount of variation in game type.

How exactly does it not work? I got some of the Half Life 1 engine mods recently and it took a while for me to get them to not crash every 10 minutes.

Yeah it just completely fails to launch. I don't think there was even a error message for it it just didn't load. I know its not the Hi Def pack because all the rest of the games work perfectly.

And yeah I'll be sure to check out the servers dude

I would recommend downloading the game again then just to see if that helps?

And the server family is called neondragon .

It isn't a download its a retail compilation called Half-life: Generations from back when Blue Shift was relatively new.
