The half life sereis is great. There is no denying that. But I a long time ago watched a series of commentaries on the series. The user (goes by the name of GooseGoose. I tried to freind him on steam but he has either denied my requests or hasnt gotten them.) really gave me a new perspective on the series. I replayed half life 2 and all its episodes with a whole new view of the game. But this has made the wait for Episode 3 all the more hard. There is so much that can be done with the series because the narrative is so deep. Valve has stated that they will do episode 3, and then end Gordons story. However they said its basicly like metal gear solid. The metal gear story will continue, but snake's story has concluded.( thats not word for word and they didnt mention meteal gear but its basicly the same idea). What are some ideas for the half life plot, new ideas for the game etc. Do you have any predictions about the series?
Also here is a theory i have about the connection between portal and half life.
Remember at the biggining of episode 2 when that wave of energy destroyed that bridge? Well I think that wave the hit apeture science labs and caused a malfuntion in the system, which released chell from her cryo sleep thing. When the the second energy wave hit, that is what caused glados's first emotion ball thing to fall off (because their is still no explanation for how that happend). I dunno just a theory I had.
Also here is one of that guy I mentiond earlier's videos. Their great if you love the series. Unfortunetly, he doesnt do the origonal half life, and his episode 1 comentery is only avalible on google videos.
