I've been pretty lazy with my halloween costumes the last few years. Last year I went as a pimp just because I had a big fur coat and a cool hat lying around. This year I want to do something more specific and original but I have absolutely no idea what that might be. Ideally something I could throw together at little cost. I'm a skinny guy with long hair so I've been looking for some kind of pop culture character that would fit that but have not had much luck.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated and I would also like to hear what the rest of you are doing for halloween!

We're not really celebrating halloween in Norway, so I guess I'll be trying the new Minecraft update then >>. Then again, there might be a halloween party to go to... I don't know really =p.

Please don't tell me that the teenage and older users of this forum still dress up like children and go begging for candy...

Skinny you say? Don the lycra.

I only suggest this because I'm putting together a Dark Knight-esque Joker costume. I've never dressed up for Haloween before so I figured I'd go all out.

What, are you so joyless and stern that you can't enjoy halloween on any level? No, I'm not going out trick-or-treating, I intend to get together a few friends, visit several bars, get quite inebriated, wander about the city and overall act foolish in costume (for it is one of the few occasions to do so in a given year).

The Riddler is a pretty good idea! I might have to do the one from the '60s though, I'm not sure I could pull off the Jim Carrey Riddler. A comic book villain in general sounds like a good idea, I'm going to have to look into that.

I'm going to make a Jack Sparrow costume, and hopefully make some little kids' night. :)

Please tell me the cynical, pseudo-cool users of this forum don't hide their lack of creativity with disdain...

Ahem. Anyway, really? The people who say Halloween is for candy are the same ones that buy their costumes pre-made or wear their sports jerseys, the just don't understand.

Saying Halloween is about candy is like saying winning the Nobel Peace Prize is about the money.

Halloween is about creativity, expression, and (temporarily) defying social norms.

I'm dressing as Zombraham Lincoln. On that note, does anyone know any good fake blood recipes? I need it to last all day, and show up well on cloth.

Maybe Johnny Depp will be lead a mutiny against early bed times. You could join in as his alter ego, that'd be awesome.

I'm going with a few friends around town to mess around in costume, with me dressed up like a glam metal guitarist.
Either that or I'll just eat all the candy that we set out for the trick or treaters. I'm set no matter what.

I did that same costume about five years ago, maybe more. The only problem was that I did my face makeup blue, so that I would look like the zombies in Dawn of the Dead and no one understood why. So I had to explain that all night, good times though. This was before the big zombie craze, so people were not as educated about zombies yet.

OT: Just do corn syrup, a little water (very little blood is thick), and food coloring. Boom fake blood.

The only party I was invited to is on the same night as a concert that I am going too, so no parties for me. That's okay though, because it has been tradition that I go over my parents house and we get drunk, give out candy and wear silly hats. I have my DEVO energy dome all ready.

I'm going out as a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I've already got the canvas coat, cargo pants/jeans, boots, and AK47 Airsoft gun that looks scarily like the real thing... All I need is a gas mask...

I haven't gone out for candy in years. For me, the Halloween experience is all a day long carnival. Be who you want.

But I'm not sure what I want to do. I'm stuck between pimping out my Assassin's Creed costume, and dressing up for a Masquerade. Then again, I could do both...

Shit, that would be boss! I may need to steal that idea (don't have the AK, but I figure I could find some other appropriate prop).

Personally, I'm torn as a gamer and an Otaku.....
I have TOO MANY CHOICES!
So I was thinking of dressing up as a videogame anime character.
Probably Lotto from Yureka.

but I look alot like Archer form Fate Stay night(just need to bleach the hair), and everyone says I should go as him...ugh...

I still have my black, hooded cloak from the last time I went trick-or-treating which was about 2 years ago, this time I just want to dress in all black, except my face, so it looks like I'm just a disembodied head floating around in the dark. But all the street lights around my neighborhood is gonna make it difficult. Sadly I'll be alone this year, my sister falls asleep around the time I'd leave, I'll be scaring kids by myself.
