Halo 3 ODST - Moaning

I'm not sure if this is because of the german synchro (which sucks btw) but everytime I got shot the character would just start moaning at the top of his lungs. EVERY TIME HE IS HIT!!!
First I tried to ignore it, but it was too loud and covered up everything else. Then I turned off the sound, at which point I thought "what the fuck?!" and just stopped playing.
Opinions? Has a game ever been ruined for you by the synchro?

To be fair though, he had just been shot. So he was moaning in pain, remember, the ODST doesn't have an energy shield so shots hurt much more. I think it was supposed to be like that to make you feel 'human'.
Interestingly if you sustain enough damage as the Masterchief you'll still hear him make pained noises too. Though not as commonly.

Never had this issue, though normally I could hear barely anything over the rubbish sounding weapons, and the BAY-SPLOSIONS. I did notice it sometimes, but it was never that noisy.

If you're going to rip on ODST, it should be more the short campaign and the lack of firefight matchmaking. Average game I thought, and that's coming from a Halo fan.

How many games have you played. Seriously, unless you have a dirty mind I'm sure you would've noticed that they were probably grunting not moaning. And have you ever been shot before? I sure bet it's not fun.

I agree, in most cases it is grunting, but in the case he really is moaning, not just when he gets shot but also when he recovers. And in real life, once you get shot you don't go on to slaughter everyone you see. Who the fuck cares about realism in games? It's supposed to be fun.
