Halo 3 was the most hyped game of 2007, and possibly ever, and Master Chief is definitely going to finish the fight, should you?
Story: Basically Halo's story is about humanity fighting a one sided war against The Covenant, a group of alien species hell bent on lighting the Halos, which they think will turn all of The Covenant into gods. As you could imagine that is a very large pile of s---. They actually created by a long lost alien race known as the Forerunners to destroy all life in the galaxy so a parisitic life form known as the flood cant take over the universe. oh yeah the Flood is loose too, so its a three sided war between Humanity, The Covenant, and The Flood, there is only one person who can save the galaxy, you, The Master Chief. It is very complicated at first but if you did a playthrou on all the games, it is easy to understand. SCORE:95/100
Controls: The controls for Halo 3 are very similar to really any other FPS these days, until you get into a vehicle. The vehicle controls are just amazing, they are very similar to the regular controls, so it is very easy to pick up and pwn some noobs.=) Even the controls for the flying vehicles, while a little more difficult, are still amazing, especially when compared to other shooters. SCORE:100/100
Campaign: The Halo Campaign is one of the most polished I have ever seen. With a good balance between the use of vehicles and your own to feet. And the enemy AI is the best I have ever seen, the allied AI, not so much, but it is better than most. And with four player co-op, and the meta-game, you'll keep coming back for more, but there are two major problems I have with it thou. One is that you often have to backtrack, but luckily most of the time its hard to notice, but when you do, it is painfully obvious. The other is the eighth level, its just horrible. Overall thou, a very polished experience. SCORE:90/100
Multiplayer: This is where Halo really shines. The matchmaking has over ten different playlists and a double XP playlist every weekend. Most of the multiplayer maps are terrific, with the exeption of one or two. It also has somthing called Forge, where you can edit maps, by adding and removing weapons, items, scenery, or vehicles. It also has a Theater mode where you can watch and save recent games. Overall, the best multplayer experience on any console(with the exception of COD4 which is just as good)
SCORE:95/100
Presentation: Halo 3 is a great looking game. With varied environments, from jungle, to urban, to desert. The Chief himself looks amazing. BUT, 95% of the other faces LOOK LIKE SHIT! Overall not what it could be but still, it has those next-gen graphics that were promised. SCORE:85/100
FINAL SCORE:93/100 LANDMARK
