Halo 4 speculation

Beacuse we all need to take our minds off of Mass Effect 3. As we all know, Halo 4 is set to be released this coming September...and to be frank we still know next to nothing about it. All we know is that Chief is landing on a Forerunner something or other, the battle rifle is back, there's a grenade pistol, and there are SPARTAN IVs. Apart from that, not much else. There is supposed to be another trilogy so we can expect a long term villian. My guess is that the Flood is making a comeback, they are pretty much the biggest threat that the Halo universe knows and we may encounter a strain that evolved differently from the ones in the first trilogy. Alternativly we may see the Precursors, the aliens that came before the Forerunners and who were implied to not be that nice. Alternativly alternativly, the Brutes could still be kicking, not enough to be a massive Empire but still enough to cause some damage. Maybe some Inseructionists? Who knows?

I think I read somewhere that there are both Humans and Elites on the Forerunner world that never knew about the Elites schism with the Prophets or there joining with the Humans. Will be interesting to see how that is handled.

If that's what they do Wolfen, I will be extremely disappointed because they missed their chance to introduce a new kind of alien species that does not consist of short cannon fodder grunts and the large bullet magnets that make up most of the Covenant military.

If the flood do come back, I hope they change the gameplay for them - I mean, they were good for the odd change of pace, but as the sole enemies it would get old incredibly fast.
