Say what you like about the Halo 3 Legendary Edition (I think I paid something like £70 for that) it still holds up today as my personal best limited/exclusive/special edition of any game, based purely on the amount of content inside.Sarah LeBoeuf said:Halo 3's infamous too-small-for-humans helmet.
Not only did you get the game (thank god) there were two other discs packed with extra content; plent of making-of content as well as Halo 1 and 2 cutscenes edited together with commentary from the creators. That's lengthy and worthwhile entertainment in itself. That's without mentioning the "too-small-for-humans helmet" which I still have and still looks awesome.
Too many special editions are lazy and full of nonsense you don't want or need but they are somehow made to look "cool" when thrown together, especially when they're then labelled as "special or "limited." But no other special edition of a game has had so much content so relevant to the buyer and so obviously lovingly crafted as Halo 3. Still my personal favourite, still has not been topped.
That said, after what 343i did to Halo 4... yeah, they'll fuck this one up too. I bought a PS4; Halo is dead to me.
