Halo: ODST Preveiw

Okay, after seeing the epic commercial for the third time I said to myself "It seems like Bungie is making something bigger than a game". Although it may be from all the money they have to roll around in from the past Halo games but it seems like they are building up a little too much hype, right? Or is it just me?

Any other games you know that have done this?


(This may be a bad idea, but I'm not talking about the gameplay or anything about the game just the hype Bungie seems to be building up about it.)

yea, but a game can be over-hyped. I guess thats the just of what I'm saying.

Ugh I wonder how it's going to be before someone says Halo

I will go with fable, it wasn't bad but Peter really did over hype it. I might have liked it more if he didn't hype it so much

Well a game can be over-hyped. I guess that's the just of what I'm trying to say.

Yeah, a big problem is that companies spend too much money on advertising and not enough on the games themselves. I do think ODST will be a good game, but nowhere near as good as Halo CE.

Yeah, ODST's hype is massive compared to something like Assassins Creed 2, which is a big game but it's not being overhyped (at least not yet).

I saw the start of the game preview on Gamespot, and I have to say this is one I'll pass on. I know I can't say anything until I've played the game myself but it just looked boring to me. It wasn't even how they played it, it just seemed like mediocre gameplay, even worse than Halo 3.

Tbh I'm bored of the entire Halo franchise, it just got bad after the first one. I hope Bungie make something for their next project that is better.
