are you deliberately trying to say extremely stupid things just to entertain me? because if you are thank you.
but if you're being serious I feel sorry for you
I'm sorry. But this whole argument you two have been having is absolutely fucking ridiculous. Mikeyfell. You are fairly ignorant at best, and at worst, catastrophically stupid. I'm not a Halo fanboy, I don't know all the backstory, and I never even played Halo 2, but surely you must have noticed that Reach is separate from the other Halo games? As I understand it, Reach is a human colony, and it falls. Reach falls. That's the key point. The fall of Reach. We all know it's going to happen, and everyone who plays Halo Reach will want to find out what this Squad get up to, and how they will eventually die. There will never, ever be a Halo Reach 2. Moving on from that rather important point, I must say that the characters (Slightly cliched I admit) are well developed, and likable. The gameplay works very well, and the online play is fun. The last thing I have to say is this. I would guess that you have never played a halo game. Maybe you played a round or two of Halo 3, but you never really got good at it, or got into it. So you decided (Along with plenty of other equally stupid people) that all Halo games must be bad and clones of each other all because YOU don't like them. I will only ever admit to Halo's faults when confronted with a genuinely interesting argument. (See one of my above posts)
I know Reach falls, I know the backstory because I read the book. I've played through all the games.
I am not bad at Halo, I can beat 3 on legendary.
I know the gameplay works well, it works well in all FPS's
they mastered FPS gameplay through countless repetition.
it's just an endless stream of head shots at enemies behind cover
or enemies flanking you
or shooting down a helicopter (or Phantoms in Halo games)
or god forbid, vehicle sections.
which is fine for 1 or 2 games but not 5 or 7 or 100
especially not without an interesting storyline
and even though I dislike online multyplayer with a passion. Halo 3's is the only one I have been able to get into. and even had fun it
since Reach came out (I remind you this argument started BEFORE Reach came out) I've seen gameplay from the campaign mode. It seems like it's going to have more interesting characters than in the Halo trilogy.

MICROSOFT DOES NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE STORYLINE. THEY WILL CONTINUE MAKING HALO GAMES
and if I am wrong I will blast my balls off with a shotgun.

but I've already said all this before
you didn't even read any of my comments
you just hit "control F" and searched for "Reach 2" and would have called anyone who typed that "catastrophically stupid"

And yet MW2 still has sold more copys than reach ever will and when Black Ops comes out so will it...
Just to say, that's not what makes a game good. Some of the best games ever never sold that many copies. I must say, you sound very much like someone from Activision. "We don't care about quality or fun, WE WANT MONEY!". MW2. Nuff said.
Thats why MW2 is the most played game on Live and PSN? just sayin...

That doesn't make it a good game, It just means it has fairly good multiplayer. The campaign was horseshit. I wouldn't have bought it at all if it wasn't for the Spec Ops.

Microsoft don't control Bungie anymore anyway. It's not their place to decide whether there's a sequel.
this again?

Everyone else in this thread says that Microsoft controls Halo now, not Bungie
so I looked it up, and it's true.

Bungie is making something new with Activision
and Microsoft owns Halo now

Well Fuck. That sucks. I'll probably play any new Halo games anyway. But still. Shit.

so how many people bought the game only for single player? they knew it was guna be short and the campaign was pretty good for a game that was made to be multiplayer and had a story thrown in.

Halo: Reach sold $200 million in its first day [http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/why-halo-reach-s-success-could-be-bad-news-for-business/1411083]

MW2 sold $310 million in its first day [http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/-modern-warfare-2-breaks-day-one-entertainment-sales-record/1372471]

So unless I am reading this wrong, the Xbox 360 exclusive Halo: Reach sold two-thirds the copies that the multiplatform Modern Warfare 2 did. Interesting.

It wasn't made for mulitplayer though, that's the problem. I've stopped playing it pretty much now anyway, I prefer Halo Multiplayer, it's more fun.

before the game came out. just like Black Ops now all the hype is about multiplayer. it was the major selling point of the game
