Halo series to continue through 2015

Anyone else not pleased? If they do it in comic and books and stuff then that will be cool, but if another game? Bleh to that. I like it when series that creators say will end, will end, and not go on. Your thoughts?

As long as the games are good, I will still continue to play and enjoy them.

So let's just go with that. Six. How many Call of Duty games are there? How many Mario games are there? How many Pokemon? Grand Theft Auto? Final Fantasy?

I mean, come on, guys. I've never seen a game get bashed for having just six games (one of which barely counts!). How about you just wait and see what games they have coming out and judge them on being a game rather than them being a Halo game? Is it really that hard? Do people really have to ***** and moan this much about a huge franchise? Seriously, it's not like it's a first...

I'm willing to wait and see what comes of this first. This isn't the usual franchise-stripmining route of farming stuff out to low-bid contractors in a hurry, this looks to be more considered than that. Plus I've met Frank O'Connor and he doesn't strike me as a moneywell digger.

That being said, it is possible to make too many trips to the Halo well... I just think that, given what we know now, we haven't reached that point yet.

more like 28 Final Fantasy games counting the tactics ( ie spin offs). But Halo on the other hand seems to be getting bloated by it's popularity which soon caused it to fall over. Making people actually dislike the game. Example ODST a short game that could be easily an add-on with downloadable content while your 60$ went to by a new copy of Halo 3 with all the maps....

Plus if you count all the spin offs and direct sequels, it brings it up to around 19.

And yet there are plenty of newer games in the "overkilled" series that are actually good. GTA4, Super Mario Galaxy, and from what I understand the Pokemon games still have their charm.

Seriously, just play the ones you like and don't play the ones you don't. It's that simple. Don't go around saying the series should stop. Do you realize how many people want more Halo? More want than don't, man. You're outnumbered, which is why they are making more.

I've enjoyed all of them so far (except ODST which I haven't played yet) and I'd definitely look forward to more.

I want one more Halo game to end the Chief story. Halo as a concept is great, but the Chief's story is pretty bland. So much more could be done with the game in my opinion, it just needs to be in the right hands.

There's twelve main games, but when you look at spin-off's, re-releases and sequels there are significantly more...I believe it's over 30...

Yet the difference between it and Halo is the fact the series usually changes, rarely keeping the same combat mechanics, and none of the main games are set in the same universe unlike Halo.
