I don't give a s**t how long the franchise goes on, as long as it's still good. I don't know if I'm wrong in this, but I don't think there's anyhting wrong with Microsfot/Bungie/whoever making a new game each year...provided it's decent.

OK, seriously, I'm sick and fucking tired of people saying there are too many Halo games. There are four, five if you count ODST, and six if you count the yet-to-be-released Reach.

So let's just go with that. Six. How many Call of Duty games are there? How many Mario games are there? How many Pokemon? Grand Theft Auto? Final Fantasy?

I mean, come on, guys. I've never seen a game get bashed for having just six games (one of which barely counts!). How about you just wait and see what games they have coming out and judge them on being a game rather than them being a Halo game? Is it really that hard? To people really have to ***** and moan this much about a huge franchise? Seriously, it's not like it's a first...
^^^ This too... there's like 12 FF games... it's crazy
It's closer to 30, actually.

And this goes yet again to show that Microsoft, for all they are and aren't, do know what their cash cows are. And they're going to milk the Halo franchise for all it's worth.

But that's okay, as long as they release full length games keep the story going I don't really have a problem with it. I like expanded alternate universes.

How can the story be continued? Didn't they kill off all of the Covenant's ruling class? And Master Chief is stranded in deep space, floating towards some unknown planet wich could either be uninhabited or inhabited by a non-space faring society.
I see the possibility of continuing the story from the Arbiters/ Elites? point of view.

as long as the games are good, i dont care.
Its when they milk a dead cow (i.e. - Sonic) when they need to stop

Kill it now. Seriously, I don't like any of the Halo games. Halo 2 was good, and Halo 3 was tolerable. But now, this is getting silly.
Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they're not insanely popular. Why should something die because you don't like it? I hate the CoD series but I don't care if they keep making them or not. Live and let live.

more like 28 Final Fantasy games counting the tactics ( ie spin offs). But Halo on the other hand seems to be getting bloated by it's popularity which soon caused it to fall over. Making people actually dislike the game. Example ODST a short game that could be easily an add-on with downloadable content while your 60$ went to by a new copy of Halo 3 with all the maps....
Halo 3 ODST is actually what everyone says it is... it's a different experience with a good campaign and solid multiplayer modes. Sure the maps and the firefight mode could have been DLC for Halo 3, but they had this wonderful ODST story to tell, so I don't think they were ripping people off. It's not that long, but it's different enough to justify the price tag.

Err... I think people say there's been enough because they don't like it. Just like the people that do like it say they can't wait for the next.

Oh, that's good. I wanted to see what happens to the Chief/Cortana after the end of Halo 3: the possibilities are endless. It's like how the end of Half-Life was: anything can happen now.

I'm betting that a brand-new universe awaits...

I'm sorry, what? The only people that can like Halo are retarded children? And of course, you pull the "from America" card.

Reported for flaming, you bigot.

The games don't really offend me in any way, so I personally don't care if they make another one.

Call me a fanboy, but I'm glad. Very glad. The Halo universe is a lot deeper than most people think, and the same goes for the story. Bungie's done a superb job of bringing this universe to life, and if this means they get to keep doing what they're doing, then who the heck has a problem with that?

And as time goes on, not only will they likely improve, but we'll get more high-quality games to play and enjoy. Who knows, maybe we'll even get a multiplayer experience from them in a later game that trumps Halo 3's!

6 CoD, about 17 main pokemon games/versions, almost 13 Final Fantasy games, and I'm not going to count the Mario or GTA games...

No one has talked about the guitar hero series yet. I think that there are 6 games coming out this year.

Guitar hero: Metallica
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits
Guitar Hero 5
Guitar Hero: Van Halen
Band Hero
Guitar hero: Modern Hits

Thats if you don't include DJ hero.

It makes Halo look like that it never comes out.
