I guess I'd have to say Pac-Man actually. Only because he bends time and space to move himself.

OH, BTW. Welcome to the Escapist

Change the title. It was clever, but not particularly funny.

That said: The House of the Dead III forever! I have wasted so much money on that game it's unreal. I know the story is absolutely godawful, but that's not what anyone's playing it for: we're playing it to blast some zombies, and there are few arcade games (or games of any sort, for that matter) that have captured the mindless fun of blowing zombies to bits as well as HotD III.

You could have just said favourite arcade game. Not give the impression of the ultimate Halo Hate Thread (in which case I'd need to give the ultimate rebuttal)
That said I'll go with Pacman, Dig Dug, Space Invaders, and Rally X. To be truthful though I really detest arcade games out of principle.

Welcome to the escapist.

Hmmmmm....

There are many games that could warrant this title. However the game that I enjoyed thouroughly without frustration was Star Wars: Trilogy.

Runners up include the first three Mortal Kombats, and Rampage.

No the point in saying Halo was to get 100's of people to click on it to have a go about it and then go "oh, it's not halo" and then comment, may not make sense to any of you, but I reckon by putting Halo in the title I will get more hits.

And thanks to those who welcomed me:p

Uh.. Am I thick for not getting the title?

Anyway, I'm a sucker for retro games, so I'll go for Donkey Kong and Space Invaders =)

The shotgun just MAKES that game. All games need more giant plastic guns.

Another good light gun game that features a shotgun was Carnevil possibly the most satisfying light gun game I have played. The latest House of the Dead had a good ergonomic gun.

Absolutely. House of the Dead II was, I think, technically better, but III was just so much more fun because you had a shotgun. I mean, it's the ultimate zombie-killing weapon! I'm frankly stunned that no one thought of a shot-light gun before; it makes the game so much more fun. You have a shotgun in all the Time Crisis games, but it's just not the same, because the light gun is still just a pistol. House of the Dead III rules.

Area 51, although it is the only good arcade game that involves plastic guns around where I live.
Welcome to the Escapist!
Also, that title idea is brilliant!

Random Q, are area 51 and section 8 the same thing?

If it involves plastic guns and shooting aliens, then yes.
