Well, I know a lot of people didn't like Halo Wars, not enough straegy for the RTS fans, not enough action for the FPS fans etc.

But I recently got it for a bargin and I enjoyed the campaign, but I'm having some problems with the Multiplayer. Specifically getting rushed by the Covenant leaders. I haven't been able to find a way of countering this.

SO anyone who's played Halo Wars online is there an effective way to counter this rather cheap tactic? Or am I going to have to start using a convenant leader just to make a game last longer than 2 minutes?

Covenant: Jackals. Easy kills on the leaders.
Humans: Marines are good. Some rushers try to run away, so flamethrowers are too slow.

Hmm, well I've tried, but the covenant leaders just slaughter my bas level marines, ad all the time they're doing that they're training more troops. I end up stuck.

The trick is to lock them up in your base and release hell when they get close. You can usually get a kill that way. After that, you push forward.

Or you could play covenant. A lot easier to counter leaderrushes. Your own leader plus a few jackals keeps enemies away. After taking out their forces, push forward. I play covie a lot more, so I can help with that more than I can help with human tactics.

A few more tips:
Build first, then upgrade
Try team matches, preferably with more experienced friends. Having someone more experienced to give you instructions makes your life a lot easier
Rush

With these in mind, you should get started.
