Sounds somewhat convienent for the budding Halo fan, with info on games, news on upcoming events and such... yeah it looks interesting. Not that it matters to me though as I lack Xbox Live so if I want info on any Halo related things I'll have to do it the old fashioned way and just look it up on wikipedia.

Holy Crap. A day without a halo thread? I must fix that. Anyway, this is an actual topic, and not just some random halo thread. While Browsing another forum, I came across this [http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/19/halo-waypoint-detailed-captured-on-video/].

What this is(I wouldn't know, I just started reading it myself) is basically a Hub for all "recent" halo games. I assume, they'll add them in later, possibly. It gives you all the latest news on Halo games, videos, and the upcoming Halo Anime.

It is open to all Gold Xbox live members, so if you're a halo fan, I would advise doing so if you haven't all ready. I guess there's no real discussion here, other than if you like it or not, but a friend of mine told me once "Just because you know of it, doesn't mean everyone else does to" so I searched this and found nothing. If something like this was posted, I appologize.

1st: There was a thread earlier today that wasn't about Halo but the the guy that made the thread bashed Halo and said it needed to die but I'll let that slide.
2nd: I think it's open to silver members after a certain date as well, they just have to wait longer.
3rd: I think they should have just combined this with bungie.net, so I don't have to search 2 websites for information on one series.

1. Sorta figured. It's almost impossible to go a day without one.
2. Yes, but after two weeks it's only open for gold moments.
3. But it's not just Bungie doing this. Many other studieos and corperations take part in this. Plus, it just isn't a information site. It delievers awards are achievements. Other than that, that's all I know.

Erm perhaps that did come off a bit backhanded and crude. What i meant to say was it just slightly disappoints me that none of the other companies for the 360 actually go these extra steps to make the fans happy, instead of them just releasing a game then moving on to the next best thing. What i'm trying to say is i'd like to see more things like this just not necessarily for just halo.

Yes I would love to see a Mass Effect waypoint. Possibly a Dragon Age and Fallout 3 waypoint. Although the one big issue with it is not all these games are 360 exclusive. Even moreso is MS has no vested interest in them. I just hope this thing is optional. It is already difficult enough trying to find what you are looking for in the dashboard with all the unneccasary crap that I have no interest in. I really don't want another useless tab unless they start giving me some customization options. I would much rather enjoy my themes thank you.

Hmm, I don't think it'll convince me to move up to Gold, especially since I only have Halo 3 for it to keep track of.

The inter game achievements actually look pretty sweet. I just hope that it's free or I'm going to have to destroy a large building. Why is nothing free these days? Oh, right the effing economy...
Edit: Never mind it is free. Awesome. I've already got around 3/4 of everting by now thanks to my obsessive Halo based achievement whoring...
Edit 2: On a completely different subject, I wish Bungie would use all the money that they get from Halo: Reach to buy the Halo IP from Microsoft and destroy it. Or keep it for a very rainy day. 10 years from now.

i think its going to be amazing but the halo aname(i cant spell) is abit to japanese meaning a energy blast and they will have some will go arround the chief with out toutching him and u can turn it off like the begginers slide thingy and i know that sounded way to fanboy
