today would have been the 100th birthday of someone who did all the voices for cartoons we all watched growing, Mr Mel Blanc

he's one of those people that has touched all our lives, i was really sad when i heard he died, bugs and them aren't the same any more. i still laugh at all the old looney tunes cartoons, they were just comedy gold.

one of the most moving pieces of art i've ever seen was several of the loony tunes top teirs like daffy, bugs, foghorn, sylvester, and yosamite sam with their hands over their hearts and their eyes closed in front of a microphone
Mel Blanc was a cartoon god

yeah i wish today's voice actor's took clues from him

the only ones to come close are the ones in the simpsons, most anime ones just read the lines as their normal voice :|

And from Futurama, too. About half the characters are all voiced by Billy West

actually there's a couple ppl but futurama is like the simpsons, a couple ppl do all the voices and one person does only one voice, leela is katie segal and she only does that one and lisa is done by yeardly smith and she only does that voice

family guy and american dad have 3 voice actors who do most of the voices too, the patrick on each show only does the one voice on each show

there's an actor's studio with the simpsons voices, and they do the interview in the voices for the most part, which is rare for fox to allow them to do that

there's also a clip on youtube with seth macfarlane doing a speech at harvard where he does the speech in all 3.5 of his voices, the .5 is because brian is his normal voice

the really cool thing about Mel is he was a mason and a shriner and he made a deal with Warner Brothers to allow the Shriners and their hospitals to use the looney toon characters without having to pay a royalty, so that's why you see bugs and daffy wearing the fez in some of the Shriner's hospital stuff
