I just thought I would say to all of you out there to have a very Happy Thanksgiving! and if you don't celebrate Thankgiving, have a Happy Shut the F*** Up. (anyone get that reference) to all people, from your friend in Canada Freak Sheet.

And, I also thought I would ask for people to share their favourite Thanksgiving stories, bring some cheer!

And to all the Americans out there... good luck with this in November, I don't know how you survive that.

Despite being in the States, I felt obligated to watch your video: Thank you sir, it made me laugh.

And also, I wasn't aware that Canadians celebrated Thanksgiving early. I've already learnt something new and I just woke up! XD

I believe its because Thanksgiving is to celebrate the harvest, and due to Canada's climate it comes earlier than further down south.

I'd be willing to believe that. It's logical if that's the case. ^_^ Cheers, mate, enjoy your Thanksgiving meal(s) that you may or may not have today!

That little video made my day even better. :3 I love the way the Christmas tree giggles after it beats the turkey up.

I survive quite well during the holiday season. Halloween, my birthday, thanksgiving, black Friday, then Christmas doesn't bother me as much as it should I guess. Maybe because I don't have to deal with family and I only buy a couple of friends gifts for Christmas. The food is the best part of the holidays. :D

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wish I liked turkey more than I do. It's fine, but everyone gets real excited except me. Still having one tomorrow.

As an Australian, what the fuck is Thanksgiving?
Basically a tradition that was started hundreds of years ago to celebrate the harvest at the end of the season. There is some debate oh where and why the first thanksgiving was held, but we don't let that get in the way of our turkey.

Because the American way is, by default, the correct way. Therefor, Canadian Thanks giving is early, as opposed to American Thanksgiving being late :p

From what I understand, Canadian Thanksgiving and American Thanksgiving exist for different reasons, and the only reason that they have similar traditions (ie turkey dinner, and giving thanks before you eat) is because we are right next to each other.

Clegane]Question! and this is more to the Americans than the Canadians, I've been living in the US for a while now and my understanding is that Thanksgiving is like a way of saying thanks to the Native Americans for saving the pilgrims and teaching how to farm and live and what not...

Is this true? And if it is, shouldn't it really be like Sorrygiving? For you know, massacring them and forcing the survivors from reservation to reservation?
Yeah, Thanksgiving is supposed to be thanks to the Native Americans for helping the pilgrims from dying of the cold and starvation. And we repayed the Natives by looking down at them and taking away their homes.

Like Colombus Day, Thanksgiving has very dark origins...
