Happiness is knowing that you're better than someone else. If everyone was happy we'd have nothing to shoot for. In some strange way you could reason that it's better to be sad, because then when you become happy, it means so much more. Look at some of the things we have today. I know that I ***** and moan about what I have all around me, but you tell that to someone in a War torn middle eastern country and they think you're a dick. So, I guess really, we just have to lower our standards.

If I ever need to cheer myself up or calm down I just remember the times that me and my friends went OPERATOR camping. Just 5 five of us decked out in our SHTF gear and we just hiked through the woods for a couple of days. Not a whole lot of talking, no mention of the outside world, just the sound of rain fall. I'll always remember the image of me looking out at the other 4 as we just kind of hunkerd down and let the rain fall for hours.
When I feel sad, I meditate.

But that's not very cool, so I suggest that everybody here follows these simple steps:
1. Eat some pastries or baked goods. Cookies work well. If you don't have any real food in the house, just eat some straight sugar.
2. Blast a song you like through headphones. I suggest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI
3. Once you have the song playing, do a Google image search for "puppy."
4. Rinse and repeat as needed. You may also want to drink some tea. Or coffee, if you're that kind of person. Or hot chocolate. Everyone loves hot chocolate. If you don't like hot chocolate, you don't deserve happiness.
