So the first one I felt was just stupid while the second one made me lol.

So they inspired me to make my own gamer guide.

To be a hardcore gamer:
1.They have to actually be interested in gaming, not do it for peer pressure but they acually enjoy playing games and would still continue to play video game systems even if their friends stopped. They are actually invested in the experience, playing with friends isn't the ONLY reason they would play a game. Again, hardcore gamer
2.They play games at least 10+ hours a week. I'm sorry but I don't think you can be called a gamer IF YOU DON'T PLAY GAMES. I don't care if you feel butt-hurt from me saying this if you don't play games you are not a gamer, it takes playing games to be a gamer. Again, hardcore gamer
3.(This one is kind of iffy) They have to actually follow the industry. I know that among my friend and I we try to follow the industry and keep abreast of news and events in the gaming world and we all consider ourselves hardcore gamers. You don't necessarily and to know like every game even just know something about games. Again, hardcore gamer

This is IMO I don't care if you think it is flaming or trolling my opinion, I think it makes sense so debate me I will try to logically answer for a few more hours after this

I would also add that you need to like (or at least have an appreciation of) a number of different genres, and not be blinded by the artificial labels that fanboys give certain games (*cough*casual*cough*). There's a lot of great stuff out there, and limiting yourself to one genre only makes you an FPS fan or an RPG fan, not a fan of the medium as a whole.
