I recently moved both Team Fortress 2 and LotRO to a new hardrive (E:)
All was working fine until these two games updated.
Now I get an error message when trying to load them, apart from in the case of TF2 which I loaded back on to my C: drive.

Is there any way to stop this problem from happening?

Did it update to the old drive?
When updating make sure the directory is right.

How would I be able to do this? The games never seem to give me an option

Also, will I now have to re-install LotRO?

On LotRo backup your saves and reinstalling is probly your best bet.
Whe ninsatlling the game instead of clicking next all the time, pay attention to whe nit gives you an option for where it wants to install.

what do you mean by backup your saves?
Its an MMORPG, so no save files. Or do you mean something else?
ewwww, reinstalling an mmo.
I've never played with a LOTR mmo install, but generally you can throw them around a lot and it all works the same as ever.
You can't unpatch the installs (as far as i'm aware of) but some mmo installs have a repair or checksum type option. If there is one for LOTR then run that, might be a different .exe file in the directory or a button on the launch screen or a checkbox on the launch screen.
