For me I dont have a hardest game. But the hardest level of a game I've played, is Act 1 Chapter 4 of Gears Of War 2 campaign on insane difficulty. I just couldn't kill that last Brumak, it took me hours before i finally did it, but for me that was the hardest level I've ever played.

Castlevania Dracula X.
They took an overpowered but not often used enemy, the spear guards and axe armours, from the original (Akumajo Dracula X Chi No Rondo (Castlevania Dracula X Rondo of Blood)) and decided to cast Multiply on it.
There is one room of just like 10 spear guards, 5 above, five below. The ones above jab down at you through their floor, making aerial maneuvers virtually impossible, making that level virtually impossible, making the game virtually impossible.
Not to mention the final boss fight is held on PILLARS. Of different heights. As in, fall off and you die. And you can't control jumps mid-air. And the fireballs that Dracula shoots come from different heights, so you never know where they are. And when Dracula morphs into flying demon form, he RANDOMLY shoots fireballs from his hands at you, so if you're in midair at the time, you lose, and often you just have to duck at take it, so that they don't knock you back and off the pillar.

Level eight of Halo 3, it's not just difficult, it's outright bad. The level design is awful and the enemies just swarm you.
Good thing the last level of the game is amazing.

I cant stand the reavers so I have to say I'm not looking forward to that. They take so long to kill and those things they fire are incredibly acurate.

Any time spent fighting the Imperial Guard on Dawn of War whilst on Hard difficulty.

Either that or being below 10years old and attempting the 00-agent on Goldeneye... might be easier now... might it???

The last mission of Warcraft 3, that level sucked balls
Found that much easier than some of the other missions. But yer normally most timed missions on W3/TFT sucks the balls.

They're tricky in the normal gameplay but when you get to the turret section in the final act it just becomes a complete nightmare. The section feels really broken and it took me about 40 tries, I'm not kidding.

It wouldn't hav ebeen so bad if Dom hadn't just stood there scratching his balls instead of getting on the other turret.

Castlevania games always have mean streak`s like that room in symphony of the night filled with valhallah knights who did huge damage and eitherthrew you out of the room with one hit or combo`d you to death , causing you to start again

In fact, that was my favorite level from that game.

This.I don't even think it's possible without a coop partner

I managed it after about 30 tries. It was so cheap to put a spike like that in at the end of the game and i have no idea how i finally did it, just pure persistance and obviously got lucky.

I still haven't had the patience to get the dreaded Mile high Club though... 10 fails and i quit again... :(

The X1 level in Trauma Center: Under the Knife. Come to think of it, all the X missions in all the games feel impossible. I have never gotten past the first one in each game.
