Hardest Moment in Gaming that you have managed?

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Mile High Club.

On Veteran.

In less than a minute!

It took me something along the lines of two hours to finish it. That might not be long at first, but remember that I retried a level that only takes a literal minute to beat 120 times before finally getting the achievement.

I also tried Black Ops on Veteran. EEEEKKKK!!!! Treyarch is the devil when it comes to difficulties. I never did beat it, though.

^ surprisingly this. i've been playing games for a long time but the mile high vet is the one that sticks out most.

Armored Core: For Answer; finishing Occupation of Arteria Carpals on Hard. Five enemy ACs at the same time, that's just not funny.

Same here, and I managed to get Old King to survive somehow (not that the cutscene would acknowledge that!)

Also from the same game, "Defeat Red Rum and Starka" and "Destroy Sol Dios Landcrab", both on Hard.

Completing Mario the lost levels damn that was hard luckily I had the `easier` non original version that saved at the start of each level rather than each world but level D-4 was just ridiculously hard.

I tend to suck at high skill level things but I did unlock every cheat in the original goldeneye. Infinite ammo and the silver PP7 were definitely the hardest

Either beating Marche Au Supplice from Armored Core 4 on hard mode being jumped by 4 enemies at once sucks or getting S rank on every mission on ace mode in Ace Combat Zero still not sure if it was worth just to hear "Eclipsing power is, at times, not only the instrument of demons, but also of gods"

That blasted battleship boss in the SNES game UN Squadron. If you can get pass that than you should able to reach the final stage without problem but I have never defeated the final boss (it was too bloody hard)!
Also I remember somewhere near the final mission in Command & Conquer, at the start of the level you have to capture the enemy damage with the units you got. After that however they soon send their first wave of units to attack the best which it was impossible to built a soild defends when they arrived. It took alot of times to survive the onslaught with a unit barely standing in the end.

i also soloed Halo reach on legendary and CoD2, 4 and 6 on veteran.

Beat Uncharted 2 on Crushing difficulty.

The game was just unfair. You couldn't hold much ammo, any 'action' moment (no stealth) always took at the very least five tries, those FUCKING bullet sponge shotgunners, and all the explosions.

Uncharted 2 on Crushing is piss easy compared to the first one. There are some sections in that (chapter six, oh dear god chapter six!) which are literally impossible without using exploits.

Personally, while not the hardest moment I've experienced, one of those moments that made me feel like a gaming god was in Bayonetta. After almost rage quitting the game fighting Jeanne at the start of chapter 2 for the 40th time (and getting my ass handed to me, even on normal), getting to the point where I can beat her at the end of Chapter 14 in under a minute without taking ANY damage makes me feel really really warm inside...

Just been playing through devil may cry 4 after finding it cheap online and its reminding me of the time that I spent 4 months of after school gaming time playing through Dante Must Die on devil may cry 3.

What are your hardest moments or achievments in gaming that you are proud of?

Also, as a pre-emptive message to anyone that mentions Ninja Gaiden.....I hate you, despite how much I have tried, I still cannot complete either of them on the hardest difficulty.....

At least an hour of my life down the drain once Mitsuru healed the boss to full health and she killed me in three hits. Took me half a Saturday and two controllers to beat her

That FUCKING Ferris wheel on One-Shot-One-Kill, CoD 4, Veteran. I literally tried over fifty times, gave up for six months, went back tried fifty more times and FINALLY beat it. Even Mile High Club wasn't as hard for me.

Halo: Reach LASO. I DID have one co-op partner to semi-negate Iron, but he sucks and died every thirty seconds. Other than that, I am quite proud to say I have completed this.

i feel like im the only one who didn't have any troubble on the ferris wheel level, everyone complains about it, but i just placed a ton of claymores and hid behind a tree and sniped everyone, took me about three tries. (this was on veteran) however i never bothered with Mile High Club, it got way to boring to complete

Jazz Jackrabbit 1, Orbitus Level 2, there was a part in it where the developers obviously hadn't play tested and you had to exploit a glitch to get passed it. Of course I didn't know this as a kid and so I beat every part of the game except for this. Well, got back to it not too long ago, found out what I had to do, and after a couple of hours FINALLY FREAKING DID IT. Man I was happy

Edit: Just read that it was actually a bug introduced with the CD version. I BEAT THE BUG! YEAH!!

for me playing though quake with melee only and not dieing once, that took me FOREVER probably around a month or 2 hours a day playing.
