He also said that Harmonix had a few unannounced projects it was working on that he thought people would be very excited about.
Please be a new Frequency/Amplitude game! Please! Please!! PLEASE!!!
Seconding this. I have huge respect for Harmonix and all their works - I switched from Guitar Hero 2 to Rock Band, because Guitar Hero 3 and onwards just didn't have that Harmonix polish and quality... I've been playing their games since Amplitude (never picked up Frequency) and have been enjoying them ever since.

I would love to see a true, original collaboration between Harmonix and Q Entertainment beyond Rock Band: Japan.

nah, i think this is a good thing. there's still a market for music games, they just have to be done without a big corporation mentality. i.e. they need innovation and quality, not gimmicks and expensive peripherals.
Exactly. Music games are not dead, they're just in a rut. A very boring rut.

While GH and RB are awesome, I think they've evolved far enough in separate games and they should focus on DLC now. All we need now are songs, not as much gameplay mechanics.
That being said, completely new music games are always welcome.
