I don't know what the deal with this is, whether it's a promotion for a new MK game, or something to set up a new MK movie reboot. BUT IT LOOKS REALLY FREAKIN' COOL!!! I don't care if it would end up as an insanely stupid movie, the sheer gritty awesomeness of this video is something any Mortal Kombat fan should see.

Yea, there's been a few threads on this already, and there's a news post on Kotaku about it too.

I dunno, it'd be interesting to see a good movie about MK though. Perhaps now that we've gotten our 'good video game movie' we can get a 'great video game movie', neh?

As I posted earlier: Do want. Do want very very much. I like the re-imagining of the characters, and would LOVE to see more. And I'd even go see it in theaters instead of waiting for the DVD release.
