How about you, instead of whining, make a thread about other games yourself. Would seem a lot more useful then making a thread about crying about it haha.
But nah, there reeaaalllyy aren't even that many. As people have said, Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 were...difficult times to say the least.

I feel like recently I've turned into a big gaming Grinch. I just cannot be arsed with many recent games anymore including their associated threads. Didn't buy the last two Assassins Creeds or the last three Cods including BLOPS 2.

I think I'm regressing, I've got Borderlands 2 and Dishonered but apart from that I'm playing Amnesia, Lone Survivor and Suikoden 2 for Chrissakes

Not to hate on Modern gaming or anything just it seems like more and more effort for gradually decreasing rewards

Meh, unfortunatly I never played Mass Effect 3 or Assassins creed 3, so I have little to comment on these crazes.

In fact I don't really play games until they are a year old or so.

But I am suprized that Halo 4 didn't take over as the new. "Hey let's all talk about this now!" thing. But it was too average to get worked up about either way so... AC3 it is. For now anyway.

The same thing happened with Skyrim, Dark Souls and Mass Effect 3. (All of them for a quite a while, but ME3 was much longer than it had any right to be.)

And really just about any and every other AAA title to be released.

Though to be honest, I think I've noticed more Transformers: Fall of Cybertron threads than Assassin's Creed 3 threads...

You know that's the funniest story because for the past 7 months I've been monitoring the Escapist for FoC threads and low and behold the majority of those threads ended up with little comments with most of them not getting over 5-6 pages like the Skyrim and ME threads which just proves most users on this site only prefer RPG titles and not much of anything else because if they did we'd be seeing a lot more threads talking about retro games or games that flew under many radars from the past till now.

Don't take it the wrong way but as a TF fan I've been wanting the game to do really well and while it did for me and some others the game simply drifted unnoticed of many people's radars and interest and that in turn made me somewhat sad.

You think this is bad, OP? When Skyrim was released, literally the entire first page of Gaming Discussion was only Skyrim threads, for weeks. Comparatively, there haven't been practically any Assassin's Creed threads.

Yes I am new, but, the game has been out for a couple of weeks and a lot of the topics about it are quite similar, thus why I think we should all just move on.

People don't use the search function before making new threads, the game is a big sequel to a big series and it's decent enough but decidedely inferior to it's predecessor.

It could be worse, I mean, you're join date says May but that post count tells me otherwise, did you luckily avoid the whole sexism thing?

Cuz that made me vanish off the forum for like 6 weeks. I shudder with fear at the prospect of them ever returning to blight our wonderful little corner of the interwebs.

Seriously though; ME3, sexism, Skyrim, these were much worse hot topics. I'm personally a fan of the recurring "Do you pee in the shower?" thread and the "what turns you on?" threads.

I've seen two or three Asscreed hate threads in the hot threads thing and that's about it. Right now, the 5 latest are on Mario, the Jimquisition, the Walking Dead, customer service and graphics. I wouldn't say we're been inundated with ACIII threads...
