I've enjoyed the first one, and was a bit shocked when I learned last week there was a sequel.

man Nightmare difficulty is a nightmare! holy crap. I have dies so many times. after I am doen I am going to do it on easy. It will be a world of difference.

Got the game in the mail a heck of a lot quicker than I expected. I have to say that the game is so far, so good. Not much to complain about.
Reviewers have been ripping to to shreds, which I find amusing. They always complain that nothing new comes out, it's always the same shooter 'realistic' stuff. Then, a game comes out that's completely different, and they don't like it because it's...well, it's different. That's what I'm getting from many reviews anyway.
Their opinion does not matter though. I picked the game up on release. I wish I could say that I'm loving it, but I'm still trying to get through American McGee's Alice because I want to know the story. This is a difficult game. The control style is not something I'm used to, but I will finish it.
What I have played--and that's just up to the part where you meet the bird lady, is interesting. The graphics are amazing in their own twisted ways, and there's a certain unsettling air about the streets of London and how everyone seems to know Alice. Creepy in a good way.

So far I'm loving it. I started to play the original Alice first (I haven't played that game in 11 years and is one of my all time favorites), and nearly beat it in one sitting. I forgot how hard that game is and it was a jolt to play compared to most games these days (also weird is how I forgot everything, aka all the puzzles, except certain visuals). This is probably due to being a PC port and not working as well on the console. Also, for those out there who are going to play this, manual save a lot.
Anywho, after getting to nearly the end of the original, I got the itch to see what the new one is all about. Absolutely amazing. I've been hyping up this game in my head since I heard it was being released, and it hasn't disappointed so far. The visuals are stunning and the gameplay is absurdly smooth.
