I don't have a problem with the recent episodes. They can't all be milk and sugar. They are funnier when he's able to flame a game that's completely awful AND has popularity because it relates to use more. However, I find enjoyment in them even for less known games that he likes more.

I don't enjoy it as much anymore, sometimes it just sounds like a total rant, but I think that's just my opinion.

If you recall his review of Portal and Psychonauts and stuff, people didn't find it funny when he liked games.

Hence, he has turned the cynicism up to 11. He's a performer appealing to a market that likes it when someone's overly negative about things.

I really like Extra Punctuation, because (when he's not in one of his moods) it lets him genuinely comment on games and talk about issues. Of course, not to the extent of Extra Credits, but it's nice to have a clean divide between Comedian ZP and Critic ZP

A little, but i found the "oh pissing blimey, theres jam coming out of the walls!" Line in his Amnesia review to be the funniest line in ages.

I don't think it's gotten less funny, it's more like he's not as shocking anymore.
When I first started watching ZP his humor was really 'out there' or 'strange' for me, but as I've watched so many of his videos...I've grown accustom to it.

This isn't a bad thing either, though personally I think he should do more reviews/commentaries on older games that he likes.
It's a lot harder to bash on something you enjoy (Silent Hill) than it is on something you think is crap (Halo).

It can be hard to do something that you did for fun as a job. He cranks one out every week. He has a lot of good original ideas and is obviously a very creative reviewer. Most reviews are boring to read. I like how he doesn't use a star rating system, or even a percent. Just gives his opinion, and often its quite funny.

They've always been hit or miss with me. It really depends on what game he's 'reviewing'. If it's something I'm completely unfamiliar with, I won't be very interested (obviously).

He has to do this every single week; it's going to get a little dry now and then. Personally I still enjoy his videos.

I enjoy his reviews as much as I ever did. I've never expected to laugh as heartily as I do when watching something like Monty Python or the like.

Yes and no. It just depends on what game he's reviewing and the jokes he makes.
For example, JRPGs don't make me laugh that much but the reviews he made for games like Gears of War, CoD, Halo, RE 5 and others like them made me laugh out loud.

Left out spelling too!
Really sorry. I just couldn't help myself.

OT. You may well have a point. I think there are less funny moments, however the amusement taken as a whole is still there (if you get my drift). Long and short is I still enjoy it.

I very much doubt he's got as much time to work on it as he used to. Besides ZP, he now has Extra Punctuation and The Mana Bar to worry about.

Also, y'know, "Did you know I wrote a novel that's available on..."
