I want to hear your hasty decisions in games.

This thread has its idea from my own hasty decision, earlier today, in Batman: Arkham Origins.
I was doing the Shiva sidequest, were you have to help a guy, she sais she will kill him.

Well there's no timer but I rush to the place, see the guy dangling from a rope and instantly throw a batarang at the rope...
and then comes the "you died scene"
I was like "WTF" o_O

When I come there a second time, I noticed I sent the guy to his death, into a fountain full of electrical wires in it -.-

God I felt stupid, but it was still sort of hilarious at the same time.

Another, more in the long run "hasty decisions" was in Fire Emblem. First time I played it I didn't hesitate to let a character die, if it was at the end of the round and I knew I'd win if I sacrifice that one character.
The game got pretty difficult towards the end.

So, what hasty decisions have you made???

Probably that time I decided to kill Ramsmeat in the first Witcher game. I was swarmed instantly by his goons and died. It was impossible to win. I didn't know how to progress the story otherwise, the town sheriff type character was being a dick and wouldn't give me a key to the cemetery so I could investigate corpses. I reloaded a save, and managed to get the key after meditating for a few hours. Honestly, that game loves to try and screw you over every five minutes.

I love in telltale games that you have a time limit on decision-making and replying to people. It really does give that extra edge.

Gonna delve into spoilers here, you have been warned:

Anyway, towards the end of the episode you end up fighting one of the other characters, upon a revelatory moment. Really the character is normally your friend or at least there was no beef (trouble) between you before.

I thought his sudden appearance, because of where you were, was so coincidental and unlikely that I thought it was formulated. You had earlier found out about 'glamours' walking around the area (or people in disguise as someone else, magically, so it is very hard to tell, they look just like them), so I thought: "No, this can't be real. He must be a fake!" At the end of the fight you have the decision on whether to punch him in the face (whilst he is already down) or to get off him. I thought, if I continued to punch him, I might for some reason reveal that he was in fact a fake... this didn't happen and I ended up looking like a bit of a prick.

Can't say it was one of my finer moments.
