hauppauge hd pvr

I am raising money for a hauppauge hd pvr so I can make gaming commentaries, now I have noticed if I buy it from america it will cost me £150 but if I buy it here in britan it will cost more like £250. Now I want to know if their is any kind of region lock on these things, since HD is HD everywhere I dont think their should.

Please help me escapists.
