Have one just like you?

Has anyone (else) heard the curse "I hope you have one just like you!" from their mother?

If so, has it come true (assuming you've had a kid yet)? If you haven't had a kid yet, are afraid to have one in fear that your memories of your childhood and teenage years will come back to haunt you in human form?

Has anyone had kids and have it not come true?

And who hasn't heard it yet?

I've heard it, and I've also seen it happen to my sister, so now im terrified of having a child, cause I know I was a terrible kid. =(

Meh, I've never heard my mum say that (mostly cause she talks to me in Japanese), and I don't really think about having children and whatnot... so I don't have any fears about how he/she might turn out either.

My mother used to say that. Then I told her repeatedly I was never going to have children. Finally convinced, she's settled for saying that when she gets really old, she'll move back in with me and do all the things I did as a child: jump on the furniture, write on the walls, break things, etc.

Well, I have two kids, but I don't know as if they are just like me at all, as my oldest is only 2. I suppose she is kind of like me in that she is a picky eater, and can fall off a chair and get back up without even flinching.

I hate children and I hate myself so if I had one just like me it would be dead in the first five minutes of its life.
