Have threads stopped bumping?

I thought I was imagining things but it just happened again... lately on the site threads have stopped being bumped up the page when a post is made on them.

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a reason for it? Surely if a thread is generating a continuous flow of discussion it is worth being bumped to the top of the page ahead of the myriad of 'The last enemy you killed' threads?

It's probably just that the "'The last enemy you killed' threads" are getting a faster continuous flow of "discussion" not much you can do.

I haven't really noticed anything, but I've never really payed much attention.

Then again, I haven't made a thread in forever...

It's the mods way of killing a thread they don't like the look of. Like the 'things you hate about the escapist' thread the other day. And possibly this thread shortly.
