Yes, I was furious when my assassin's creed 2 black edition took 1 week to arrive. If I can I always order from game, they give you thinks 1 day early.

I preordered Fallout: New Vegas months in advance, 5 working days after it came out I still hadn't heard anything from Zavvi.
I actually went and bought it from a shop because I was sick of waiting for it, by the time the copy I preordered arrived I had been playing the one I got from a shop for about a week. I sent the preorder one back, and will never order from there again!

No. My games always come on time, but then again I've only ever preordered like, four games.
And please, please attempt to use punctuation in your threads. It's untidy and difficult to read when you don't.

Not really.

A similar experience of having to wait for a game you preordered. I preordered Demons Souls and the game store I went to ended up closing on its release date. The company didn't want to give me my money back for my preorders and didn't tell me that they wouldn't be getting their shipment of the game until it was too late to preorder a copy at a different store. I ended up having to call a bunch of other game stores trying to find a copy. Took me a week and a lot of phone calls, but I got it.

Yes, I had to wait a few weeks after the release date of Blazblue: Continuum Shift for it to be dispatched (this was after it's release had been delayed a few times) and when it was sent it was around the time that snow had stopped the postal service for most of England, meaning that I had to wait even longer for the game.

Under normal circumstances I would have cancelled the preorder and purchased the game somewhere else, but the game wasn't in shops until a couple of weeks after I actually got it.

I'm actually glad. Duke nukem was going to be out in the middle of exams, now it's in the summer holiday! I never preorder online though, always go to game and do it in person

Well you should have expected it. They can't ship the game to you before it's officially out, and unless the UK postal service works on weekends, if the send it to you on Friday, you obviously won't receive it until Monday or Tuesday.

If you really want the game ON release day, you should preorder it from a physical store.

This is where you're wrong :p

My friends and I have deduced that if we want a game a few days early, we should preorder it. It always comes early. There hasn't been a single occasion where it hasn't, actually.

My GF pre-ordered L.A. Noire as an early Birthday pressie for me and I was supposed to meet her yesterday to get it but had to cancel for stupid reasons. (Car crash or something) I was pretty damn pissed off about that but it's not the shipping companies fault it's HER fault!

In all seriousness I only pre-order games I am super hyped about and I normally book a day off work if I can revel in it's goodness. I once had that case of late game and I was pretty bummed. Some people might call that sad but fuck them at least I have something in my life I get excited about
