Have you ever been torn with a developer?

I am, right now. And that developer is called Capcom.

On one hand, they're responsible for the Ace Attorney series, one of my favorite series of all time. However, they didn't release AAI2 here in the states, and I'm still pretty burned about that...

On the other hand...they released Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which through some magical cosmic powers managed to be most likely the only game in existence that will ever have my favorite comic book character (She-Hulk) and my favorite video game character (Phoenix Wright) in the same game...

So I'm pretty torn right now with them.

...There isn't really a point to this topic, I'm not really looking for advice or anything. I was just wondering if anyone else ever found themselves in a similar situation. Like... "I'm happy/mad at X for Y, but on the other hand...Z"

As for UMvC3...meh, I'll probably just pick it up used (which I don't do very often)

I love Nintendo for making Mario and Zelda, but I hate them for not doing anything else but releasing the same thing over and over and over and over again.

I'm torn with Square-Enix. Ever since Square merged with Enix, their Final Fantasy games have been losing their magic.

FF12 was good, but not nearly as fun or compelling (in the story department) as what came before.

FF13 introduced some interesting new ideas in terms of gameplay and story, but the good was buried under a huge pile of bad design and presentation decisions that left me feeling like I had to eat two buckets of gruel before I was allowed to have a bite of chocolate mousse.

I'm torn as to whether or not to give up hope that they will ever make a truly great Final Fantasy game ever again.

Loved games like the Sims, and a few years ago, I saw this video.

The rest is history, and I learned to be wary of Maxis, and more particularly, EA. EA seems to always try to piss me off. From Origin to DRM Online passes, they just are stretching their reaches further then I'd prefer.
