I was 17 and it was very uncomfortable. Every time my dad came upstairs he sang Spotty Muldoon at me

8 me thinks.

I never scratched badly 'cos it never itched(?) that much to be honest, just kind of tingled every hour or so then went away.

If you want to feel amazing while scratching, athletes foot. Oh boy, nothing felt better.

I vaguely remember having it. I believe it was one of those dealies where one kid got it and all the other parents made us play with that kid so we'd catch it too.

Did you know the chicken pox is a kind of herpes virus?

I had it when I was nine. Damn you kids today with your fancypants vaccines! If I could've avoided the truly vicious case I contracted in April of '87, I'd have done it!

Ive had measles but not chickenpox.
Apparently the older you get the worse you feel when you have it. I'm 23 - Oh the joys! I cant possibly wait!

When I was too young to remember. Hence, I'm (mostly) safe now. I don't even have any scars.

The worse part was the lotion that you got smeared over you. Was sticky, cold and horrible

Had it when I was 4. The only days of school I ever missed due to illness. And it itched like hell! Although there were no lasting scars.

I got them around 5, I think. I think I had around 150 spots. Don't really remember it though.

The nursing school I'm at decided they wanted all of us to prove we have immunity to chicken pox. They say it is because we will be exposed to sick people who may have it, but it feels suspicious when the only group the school will accept paperwork from is a company the school owns.

I asked them, "Do I really need to prove I've had chicken pox before? I have all the proof anyone should need."
"What proof is that?"
"Because," I said, "I was seven years old at some point before I started school here."
