Most famous person I've met was Dame Judy Dench. She came into my work to buy a dog lead and I actually got to serve her. The most epic part was her phone going off and her ringtone was the James Bond theme XD

I've also seen Peter Andre and Katie Price regularly at my old job (if they can still be counted as celebrities) and Susan Hampshie, who I then knew as being Molly MacDonald in Monarch of the Glen.

I was working at a convenience shop one night and Bill Murray came in and started smashing the entire store up with a baseball bat. He came up to me at the counter and slapped a 20 down on the counter and said, "This should cover everything, and no one will ever believe you."

Seriously, how has no one said this yet?

Also, with as many people saying you wouldn't know the Swedish celebrities I've met you might as well say them since there seems to be many Swedes here.

I met Neil Hannon [a musician better known by his pseudonym, The Divine Comedy] after a concert. I asked for the Twix bar he used as a stage prop, which I then gave to my ex. She also got his autograph.
He was having a cigarette behind the venue and seemed understandably stressed out.

Oh, and I exchanged emails with Terry Deary [he wrote the Horrible Histories books] and the pianist from O Emperor, but they don't really qualify as meetings.

I'm a part-time background extra. One of the rules we have is that we're not allowed to initiate contact with the important people. If they come over to us, that's fine, but we can't go to them.

James Callis talked to me while I was on Battlestar Galactica. He wanted me to be part of the scene where he makes his "We will get food!" speech to the starving refugees because I had the right look. Unfortunately, I'm in only a few frames of the final cut.

On the set of Watchmen, while we extras were filing back to the holding tent, I caught Zack Snyder's attention and extended my hand. "May I shake your hand?" I asked. He did. "I loved 300," I told him. "Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it," he replied. My scene is Nite-Owl's 1977 flashback (where the Comedian suppresses the riot). It was filmed overnight in late November. The second night wrapped early because it started snowing.

Scarlett was a good foot shorter than me. And I am not a tall person.
Isn't she like 5 foot 3?

I dunno, but if you're a foot taller, either people from your area are fucking giants or your idea of height is way off :p

OT: Josh Ritter. Gave him a hug, had a chat about Hamlet.

It was good fun

I didn't "meet" him but I saw Justin Timberlake somewhere.

I did however, meet Warren Miller. He is a really cool older guy and talks in conversation exactly the same as when he narates his movies, that is just the way his voice sounds.

My friend Modern Robot(not an Escapist) and I have a yearly tradition of going to Knott's Halloween Haunt and during a show Marco Khan http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0434879/ was a guest and later in the day we met him out in the park with his wife and kids. He asked if we wanted a picture with him and we didn't have a camera on us and I don't remember if we had him sign our ticket stubs.

The previous October had us interested in going to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights and my wife went with us. It started off as a complete disaster with a horrible tram based maze and a 2 hour long wait in line for the Friday The 13th maze which was ok. Then after going on the Simpson's Ride to wash our minds of what madness we dealt with Patrick Fischler http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0279209/ shows up with his friends near the starway escalator and give us their front-of-the-line passes so from then on we've had the ability to go to all the mazes, the King Kong 3D experience though getting dino slobbered was none too fun, and going on Revenge of The Mummy well before the park closed.

Other times I've met celebrities is at Frank n' Sons in the city of Walnut.

I shook Colin Mochrie's hand, and he also said my name to a bunch of people. It was awesome.

I met R. Lee Ermery in an airport. My dad and some buddies were in uniform and he came up and started talking to some of them. I didn't notice until right before he left so I barely got to say hi. He was very nice.

John Barrowman burped in my face, I've hugged Noel Fielding and I once walked dogs with Scott Brown. Not A-Listers like you guys but they were all really cool guys.

Oh and I ran into Sean Connery in a Chippy a few years ago. The owner's got a picture of me beside him on the wall.

I met Neil Gaiman at a screening of Coraline. I've met a few bands at various concerts. The singer from Barenaked Ladies used to shop at the comic book store I worked in. And once I saw Steven Tyler in a Starbucks but I didn't talk to him because I hate Aerosmith. It was actually kind of pathetic, when a woman told him she'd never heard of him he started listing his hit singles.
