Have you ever returned a non-broken console?

I got a Wii yesterday and things just aren't working out between the two of us. It was sort of an impulse purchase, which I quickly came to regret.

In any event, I'll be returning it soon, but it reminded me of the only other console I returned. Heresy, I know, but I got a Dreamcast for Christmas ten years ago, but there was nothing on it that I wanted to play. I don't think I ever even took it out of the box. Poor thing.

Did you ever get the wrong console as a gift, making a purchase you ended up regretting, etc?

Am I crazy for A. buying a Wii on impulse or B. returning a brand-new Dreamcast in 2000?

Is this sort of video game indecision normal?

I haven't, no. I like all my consoles, and think about purchases hard before I make them.

I wouldn't consider it "un-normal", but it isn't something that happens to me.

I was going to return my Dreamcast, but I knew a friend in love with Sonic and I had Adventure. No you're not crazy there, but Wii on impulse ... I dunno, as it's been around for quite some time you had to know about it and some of it's games and it's flaws and high points. So, it was maybe more of just a trial run?

I took back my Gamecube after a few months as it was the end of the road for it, plus I beat Resident Evil and the other games I wanted. Doesn't sound like too crazy of a situation.

It's your money, do what you like with it. :D

In my defense, I never asked for the Dreamcast, I had just mentioned it in astonishment at how great graphics had become (tells you how long ago this was) and I think my mom took that as a hint. I think my brother still hasn't completely forgiven me for saying "thanks, but you spent way too much on me!" and insisting that mom return it. I wonder what he wanted to play so badly.

Got. Rid. Of. Dreamcast.

*starts raging*

Now that you've mentioned it twice, I feel the need to state:

I WANT A DREAMCAST

And you got rid of one...

*starts crying*

I didn't realize that the wiimote was so jittery, and when I looked at the list of games available for download, Final Fantasy IV-2 was the only one I really found intriguing. Poor Wii, I hope it finds a good home. :(

You can get one on Amazon.com for around $20! DREAMCASTS! [http://www.amazon.com/Sega-Dreamcast-Console/dp/B00000K2R4]. I'm lucky to have a local used game store that still carries stuff like the Dreamcast, Playstation, Genesis, NES and Atari 2600. It's nice to see old systems and games still in circulation.

I've owned a Sega Megadrive, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, DS and Wii, and there have been enough good games on each system that I could never regret buying them, let alone returning any of them.

As far as your Wii goes, you've had it one day. So in that time you've played what, 3 games? Give it at least a week and try some more games before you decide whether or not it was worth it.

What type of games do you play? Surely there is something else on there that you'd enjoy.

Thank you too.
Where's yours from by the way?

Mostly RPGs, as far as Wii games go. I think I'll wait for Dragon Quest X to come out and get a Wii (or Wii 2?) then. *shrug*

Never a console, however someone bought me a Harry Potter game a few years back for the Xbox, luckily they told me they didn't care if I exchanged it. I got the game Brute Force when I exchanged it, it wasn't that great either.
