Have you ever won a 'supposed to lose fight'?

if not taking too many hits from the unmaned suicide weapons before the screen fades to black at the end of armored core: nexus counts then yes

My lvl 17 fighter beat a lvl30 character in NWN 2 MP. I was supposed to lose, but for some reason I critted a whole fething lot and killed him in seconds xD.

And there was that time, actually a few times when I was the last man standing in Red Orchestra. The enemy outnumbered me 20:1 And they had some reinforcements left. I ran around guerilla warfaring them like crazy and ended up winning wich made them accuse me of cheating for the next 2 hours.

Ser Cauthrien in Dragon Age, when you first fight her while rescuing Anora. When I first stumbed upon the fight, I was shocked at the apparent unfairness of it. Almost 10 Archers, two Mages, several Fighters and Cauthrien herself, who could drop my tank in 2-3 hits. I lost the first few times I tried, but I never waited for the death screen (which wouldn't happen since I was supposed to lose) and always loaded the game when the fight turned sour.

Finally, I ran, kited Cauthrien and her fighters halfway across the level, got them in a small room, disposed of the mooks and started whittling down Cauthrien. Every member of my party died multiple times (thank god for 2 mages with Revive) and I spent a good portion of my diligently hoarded stock of Health Poultices, but by the gods I took her down and then went back to mop up the archers and the mages (combo cast a Storm of the Century and block the only exit out of the room).

Afterwards, I went to the Bioware forums to ***** about the insane difficulty of the fight. I found a thread on that very same subject, where a Bioware dev replied, pointing out that by winning that fight players skipped an entire section of the game (prison escape, which is hilarious), at which point I quietly fired up the game again, loaded the save before the fight and lost it on purpose...
That's the one I somehow managed to win, 2 mages were very useful, especially one with earthquake and one with inferno then back to the first for blizzard, I tactically fought that battle planning every single detail with long arse pauses inbetween actions

Nope. Not even the first boss in Demons Souls. Game FAQs said it was possible, but the game said no.

FF IX had a couple where it either ended after a certain amount of time or after bringing their health down to a certain point, and I usually won by the bringing health down option.

Also, on Mass Effect DLC Pinnacle Station, I reached the point on the survival maps where I was at about an hour and a half of continuous play, without even having lost the two members of my team, and we were basically just sitting behind cover killing everything, probably thousands of enemies combined. I evntually just stopped playing and let us die because it was really boring.

Lufia 2, Daos.

You actually get a really, game-breakingly nice sword for doing so. Then he pretty much goes "right, I guess I better start being serious about this" and annihilates you.

Funny, really. When you fight the story bosses of the game and they aren't made arbitrarily nigh-invincible, they're completely laughable.

Shining Force Two, back on the Sega Genesis. There's a point at the very beginning where you and your team get surrounded by guards. You are supposed to lose the fight so you can get taken to prison to meet the next new member of your team and learn why great evil is rampaging the land.

There have to be six or seven guards, each three or four levels higher than your characters, but if manage to beat them the scene cuts to the Captain of the Guard looking at your group. He says to the main character "Huh. You've got some talent, kid. You would make a great guard one day, but right now you have to come with me." Then he walks up to the main character, hits him once and our hero passes out. The other characters start to freak out when the Captain says "Don't worry, I just knocked him out. Now, the rest of you surrender and come with me."

FA cup final in FIFA. Usually against a Premier League team, and being a League One team (Exeter City) should, stats wise, get my ass handed to me. Yet in Fifa 10 I won 11-0 against Liverpool.

Wow, I never realised you were supposed to lose that fight. Took me ages of kiting her around the rooms to finally kill her.
You were supposed to lose that fight!? Did anyone know this during their first playthrough? Cause Ive played that game like 3 times and beat that pain in the ass every time

There was that fight with leon in KH1.
Second that.
I think they put that in there just to be tough, you get a reward for beating him... I beat him a couple times, but expert mode was impossible...

god I love that game.

OT: Uhm, I dont think there are any others I have won, so I guess im not that great :p
