Yes I have noticed, and I thought this was sort of commonly accepted

You could keep Doctor Doom out of if and say the fantastic Four represent the four elements, and I would not be surprised if this was originally intended.

I take it most people already know this that the family in The Incredibles are similar to the Fantastic Four-

OT: I think this has actually been mentioned in the Comics, but I'm not to sure since I don't read them

I'm not sure if it was originally intended so, but you are not the first to make this observation.

It has even been mentioned in the comics, I think it was Marvel 1602 that specifically mentioned that as the source of their power, but it was an alternative universe. And it didn't include Doom, who wasn't with the Fantastic four on their journey where they got their powers.

But Air, Water, Ground and Fire are pretty popular elements in pop-culture, having their roots in classical thought and philosophy. Sometimes there's the fifth element, that can be Sky, Metal, Wood, or Milla Jovovich.

Wait, while it's true that the classical eastern elements include metal, they are actually water, air, earth, wood and metal. No fire. And it makes sense, as fire isn't really an "element", it's a chemical reaction (or whatever - not really an element), so in that regard the eastern mythos were slightly more correct.

So the Fantastic Four is actually tailored after the classical western elements. With metal thrown in, but since metal is an opposition it still makes sense.

I think you have misunderstood the true power of DOOM. DOOM'S power does not come from metal or any other physical element, nor some philosophical representation of such. No, DOOM'S power is just that, DOOM!

Has anyone ever noticed the similarities between the Half Life games and the story of Moses and The Exodus? All that enslavement and evil empires and rebellion through being inspired by the one free man (with ties to important people in the evil overlord empire) who in turn is led by G(od)-Man? I've looked into it, and if you break down the play-by-play of both stories it really does seem like it was the intention of Valve (even down to something like the fact that in the story of Exodus, God grants Moses a stick that can turn into a snake as a tool to convince the Egyptians that the Hebrews have God on their side, while in Half Life 2 Gordon's crucial obtaining of the rocket-launcher is through the G-Man giving it to Colonel Odessa Cubbage beforehand knowing that it would be passed on to Gordon).

I thought that once, then I had someone try to (unsuccessfully) convince me that it was perfectly fine and legal for me to call up the local gas and water company, pretend to be her boyfriend and shut off the services at his (the boyfriend) ex-wife's house.
I've also heard someone say "That's the logo from Call of Duty." after passing a truck with a US Marine Corps decal on the windshield. I am now fully secure in the knowledge that I am not an idiot.

Assassin's Creed and V for Vendetta are almost the exact same story. Think about itSPOILERS FOR V FOR VENDETTA)

They both star an assassin with implied but never explicitly confirmed super powers. (Eagle Vision/Leaps of Faith, and getting shot a metric fuck-ton of times without dying respectively) This assassin is on a quest for personal vengeance, but also wants to save an oppressed society. And they both jump around rooftops and use throwing knives. And blow up towers to send a message.

The antagonists of both series are a religiously motivated conspiracy to get rid of free will in the name of safety and harmony. Each member of this conspiracy has their own personal twist in their character, and is hunted down and killed individually by the assassin.
