What I mean is since buying your PS3, PS3, Wii, upgraded PC (anything after lets say 2005), have you been happy with the games you bought or has there been some regrets?

I've been happy with my Wii collection of games, its a shame they don't have much lasting value now though, I rarely if ever replay them, my PS3 games now old or not get replayed from time to time, my oldest game at the moment probably being GTA4, anything before that was completed and traded in. I can't say I've made any bad purchases :) I've been most satisfied with the games I've bought and played, so I'd say I've had a flawless gen thus far. Huge contrast to my PS2 and PS1 days when I made my fair share of mistakes on purchases ¬_¬

How about you guys? Any of you happen to pick up Haze or Too Human for examples and ruin your flawless reputation or have you been happy with every game you bought for your new console / PC?

I've assembled a few games I didn't like enough to finish on the xbox, such as Mass effect 2, Dragon age and gta4. I also own games I outright despise [MW2, Battlefield Bad Company 1] so nope, not on the xbox front.

My Gameboy however, when all you have is Pokemon Red, Yellow and Gold, that's a pretty gosh darn perfect group.

Yeah, I've bought the odd bad game, but, then, this has probably been the first generation I've had complete financial control over, so I've been freer to make bad decisions. I have money that I can spend, so I'm more willing to take risks, and try things that I turn out not to like, especially when you can download games straight from XBox Live or the PSN Store. I've found plenty of gems but I've had the odd lump of coal, or games that I just happened to hate.

However, so far, I have yet to buy a bad DS or 3DS game. Still have plenty of time to rectify that, though.

I suppose I'm lucky in that I had a long break from gaming - I basically went from the PS1 to a 2010 gaming PC with not much in between. That's definitely made me easier to impress with the current gen since everything looks awesome to my unjaded eyes, or did anyway.

I wouldn't say it's been flawless, but with the exception of Fallout 3 (which I have a love/hate relationship with, mostly hate though) all the disapointments I've picked up have been impulse buys during Steam sales. It's easy to shrug off one bad game when you've got a couple of dozen others to try.

It's been a pretty mixed bag for me too. I've enjoyed a lot of games on the PS3, but I've bought my fair share of absolute stinkers.

GHAAA!

Ahem... Been quite awful generation to be a PC gamer, so god damn many fps that even the good ones seems bland.

There's a couple games on my PS3 that turned out to be disappointing or just poor but overall I've had some good games. I'd rate the PS2 higher for having more interesting experiences and a lot more variety in games than the PS3

Only game I've regretted purchasing for PC was Mass Effect.

BioWare really did not appreciate my system specs or something, because that game ran like ass, and crashed every minute on lowest setting; which is odd, because Mass Effect 2 runs flawlessly at highest possible. . .

My choices are pretty controversial, Prince of Persia (2008) and New Play Control!: Pikmin. The former looked beautiful but played like crap, I had never played a previous entry in the series. As for the latter, it was a Miyamoto game, I thought I would love it, but I couldn't get into it. I'm just talking consoles though, there are probably a few regrets in my handheld collection.

I've had a few mixed results for the 360 games, but all in all I loved it. No regrets for the most part.

Definitely a few bad decisions in the past few years on my part. Sonic 2006 for the 360 was one. I mean, I know it got bashed for being bad, but then again so did the previous 3D Sonic games, and I liked them, so I thought I'd like it too. Next time, I'll try renting new games rather than buying them.

Seeing as I only game on my Xbox and PC, yes plenty of wasted £'s.

Xbox - Final Fantasy 13 £40, RockBand 3 £40, Brink £30, Bioshock 2 £30. (That's just the ones I remember).

PC - Squenix/ Eidos pack, Rockstar pack, Valve pack (maybe), and I bought the 80-in-1 Atari pack.
They always have about 2-3 games in there I will play a bit then get bored. God I'm such an idiot.

I buy enough games that I'll always have a few I regret buying, but only because I realize once I'm done I should have rented instead. Like Crackdown 2. That was a blast for a few days, now I'm going to trade it in at Gamestop and pre-order Skyrim.

However... Fable II. Never have I regretted buying something so much. I played it for about two days, and I was apparently really out of it because I really enjoyed it. I told some friends about it at school, so they bought it, too. No one liked it. I played it again, and I didn't like it. I wasted my money, and three other people's money. I'm STILL feeling guilty.
