Honestly, a damn reality TV show about pro gamers? Seriously? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the concept of a Pro Gaming League and would love to see matches put on ESPN, but this show is damned ridiculous. The purpose of this show is to find out who the best all round gamer is.

This makes no sense to me.

What don't you get? It's a reality show, there's not much to 'get'... People might say that there are experimental and sociological testing behind stuff like Paradise Hotel, but there's not. It's just about putting a bunch of people up against eachother for some money, to entertain the masses.

Sci Fi has created some BAAAAAAAD ones, did you see Chase? They made it look like a game show version of mirror's edge, but it was so terribly awful and lame and boring.

I don't know why people have been marketing video game related stuff lately, (like that lame razor) but I suppose it helps to have them in the media for some reason OTHER than fearmongering.

The world isn't yet ready for gamers to be brought under the limelight of reality TV. Gamers understand gamers, the rest of the culture is not going to respond hospitably toward these participants.

I think the same is true about sports honestly, I think watching them is boring as hell, but out on the field, in the park, that is fun.

Not all games and not all sports are boring to watch. I enjoy watching RPGs or FPSs that my room mate plays and I enjoy watching the occasional American Football game, but I dont like watching golf or watching someone play Guitar Hero. Certain games are not made for spectators.

I know I don't like WATCHING baseball, but I do like playing it. Or at least softball, used to have a neighborhood league which was fun, but I moved. American football can be fun to watch, but playing it is more fun.

At least the sport is getting more cred, I am only ok with the show being canceled if they cancel every show or network dedicated solely to other sports
