This should be a joy to those who wanted The Stig to remain a mystery man, and a disappointment to those who believed The Stig was Schumacher. Truth is, he wasn't.

I know this because my friend's dad works in the camera crew for Top Gear. It was an elaborate prank. Also because Schumacher was credited as a special guest at the end, not as The Stig.

tbh, this isn't the most elaborate of ideas. because every other F1 driver that went on Top Gear has done a different timed thing, Shumacher didnt do either. But the Stig does have a time set. who knows, or really cares. I didnt even realise it was Shumacher till Clarkson said it. Moto GP all the way!
