Well the ultimate fate of Kaminsod is left somewhat ambiguous in the Malazan Book of the Fallen. However, I choose to believe that:

Koryk is an unreliable POV for Kaminsod's "assassination" by the Rope, so while he perceived this to be a malicious act against a god who had finally embraced a world that had shown him nothing but pain thereby removing his poison from magic, I think that the pieces are all there to suggest that the god ultimately was ferried over to his people by Heboric. Heboric had become a Shield Anvil for the Jade Statues which contain the souls of Kaminsod's people. Stands to reason that he transitioned Kaminsod's soul over to the statues, allowing them to finally return to their realm with their god intact.

The author himself says he left the ending deliberately ambiguous, but I really do think there's more than enough evidence to point to one interpretation over the other.

For Fallout 4, my head cannon is that the player character will ultimately change

for the good. Also, people have decided that the ending with the most factions alive is somehow the "best". My head cannon is that the game really isn't over at that point. The differences between 2 of the remaining factions are far too vast to ever be reconciled. There will still be war, you're just stalling the inevitable by not progressing the quests to their obvious end.

Borderlands 2 - Handsome Jack thinks he is the hero of the (video game) story

For some reason most of the dialogue from Jack always struck me as this. He always assumes he is right himself and considers the actual player to be evil. He also goes to some extremes to stop the player character. I can't remember any quotes now (I'll have to look it up) but the way he phrased things always seemed so typical of an actual player character. He is ruthless and intelligent - he doesn't shy away from using extreme force to solve problems or even sacrifice some of his own resources if it would give him an advantage. Not unlike how players usually operate.

This is actually Word of God. The head writer confirmed that Handsome Jack believes he's the savior of Pandora and is just doing what's necessary to save the people there from their shitty existence. The head writer also wanted to go for the idea that the Vault Hunters are actually the evil side in the story, seeing as how they are content with fucking Jack over just to get revenge on him. Of course, the entire narrative is slightly complicated by Jack being arguably more evil then the VHs ever are. The outcome if Jack wins would be far better for the people of Pandora though.

Didn't known that but I think it makes complete sense and it is well presented into the game.

Rogue One was a mess created by mediocre writers and a bad director. It doesn't teach us anything new about the Star Wars canon. We knew the story of the Death Star plans already. For all its flaws, The Force Awakens had better characters, better pacing/editing, a better story and much better music. It was made by people with a better understanding of movies.

See I disagree entirely. For all the mediocre writing Rogue One may have had, at least the writers tried to write something. They wanted something new, something that didn't involve the fucking Skywalkers and how they're basically the worst family in Galactic history. To show something that hadn't been seen before, even if some people already knew the story.

Force Awakens was just A New Hope. It was just JJ and his team of, by now, hack writers taking someone else's plot, story structure, ideas, characters, character development and nearly shot for shot scenes and just tried to pass it off as their own. It was lazy and cheap. No effort. The least possible amount of creative work possible to form a movie children who have never seen the other Star Wars movies. You might as well just call it a reboot, on par with the 2016 GhostBusters. No respect for the original material, no understanding of the universe, the characters, their struggles, the plot. Nothing. A cash grab, nothing more.

Okay so the stolen plans of a planet destroying super weapon laser are hidden on a desert planet in an astro-droid who ends up in the care of a saddened down-on-their-luck backworlder who is determined to find their place in the Galaxy and help stop the evil Government. Soon enough they befriend a rogue(one a smuggler, the other a literal rogue storm trooper) where upon storm troopers find them and they have to escape on the Millennium Falcon.
Later on the join a rebellious type organization determined to destroy the super weapon in a daring X-Wing raid on the secret weakness found in the plans. An old mentor confronts their rogue protege who has fallen to the Dark Side, lured their by and old and shadowy Sith Lord, who kills them with a lightsaber, causing everyone to go "NOOO!".
A single x-wing manages to get off several torpedo shots on the singular weakness of the Super Weapon.
Our Backworlder is now determined to become a Jedi like their father.

Now you tell me which movie that is, because damned if I can tell them apart.
It really isn't an exaggeration to say Force Awakens is a copy of A New Hope. I mean for fucks sake both have a Cantina scene with Han Solo in them! That's pretty on the nose!

Maybe I missed something, but I thought BB8 having part of the map to Luke was why it was important. I don't recall it having the plans for the base. I won't deny that there are a TON of similarities between the movies, but I still liked it. Doesn't make it a bad movie to me. To be honest, I liked TFA more than A New Hope. For me, it was a better version of the same movie. I'm sure you'll disagree and that's fine.

Also, to both of you, spoilers for your argument: neither of you are going to convince the other to agree with you. Maybe I'm off base and you guys are just trying to understand each other's positions, but with statements like "Force Awakens was hot garbage" and "Rogue One was a mess created by mediocre writers and a bad director", it really just seems like you're trying to antagonize each other. Anyway, carry on. Those are just my observations.

That's fair. I had miss-remembered that part. The exact nature of the secret data given to the astro-droid hunted by the not-Empire for the not-Rebellion was different. Although interestingly enough both the Deathstar plans and Luke's location had to be displayed by R2-D2. So 1 step forwards, 2 steps back.

I always thought that the timing of Captain Jack Harkness and Steve Rogers both serving in WWII and then both being alive in present day, AND both fighting aliens, was too much of a coincidence for them to not have bumped into each other on multiple occasions. Seeing Jack meeting (and hitting on all of) the Avengers would be hilarious.

And yes, he would hit on all of them. Even Hulk. Especially Hulk.

Mass Effect 3: Noone really understands what the crucible is and what it is going to do after it is activated. Surprise: it's a bomb! The whole thing has been a reaper-trick all along, puppeteering their victims into bringing about their own death.

And the plan is working out perfectly. Conveniently, most of the armed forces are right there to defend the crucible from the reapers, when the thing blows up. Current cycle races lose most of their armed forces in one battle. The reapers win again. The next cycle begins.

In my opinion, this is the only logical and consistent ending after everything we have learned about the reapers.
