Was playing game with headphones were working fine left for about five minutes when I came back I could not hear anything I looked at the audio and saw my computer was picking it up but I cant hear anything through my headphones so when my computer picks up audio I can only hear very faint sounds. Is there something broken in my headset? is there a setting I have to change? please help I don't to pay for replacement headphones

How does the headset connect to the computer? If it's a USB headset, like mine, you may need to exit whatever application you were in, unplug them, plug them into a different USB port and try opening the application up again. Confirm that they are set to the default device, in this menu:
There are a lot of reports of niggles with USB headsets. I don't know why they keep shutting off, but mine do, especially in programs like Google Hangouts. Every five minutes, it seems.
