I do when I feel like talking. I don't when I don't feel like talking. Quite simple, really.

I play PC, so sure. Almost all of my online games have at least semi-organised teams so we skype chat while playing. But obviously, like the rest of the people in existence who aren't complete dicks, I have mute all on when I play COD6. But obviously then I still have the skype running with my legitimate team mates.

I have headsets for my PS3 and PC, though I rarely need to speak, I'm more of a listener/follower than a leader. If I do have to speak, it's usually just to chime in with complimenting someone playing well.

I don't wear a headset because no one else done. Mmm, vicious cycles.

I used to, but like I said, there was never anyone to communicate with. Either that or the people with headsets were incapable of communication outside of profanity. Being called an entire dictionary's worth of curse words for being slightly worse at a game than the person you're playing with kinda makes headsets unappealing.

This sums up my feelings on the subject quite adequately.

Yes I own one, a nice one but will I talk? No not really unless what everyone is talking about takes my interest or someone is asking me something.

I wore my new headset until I broke it on Sunday, after not even owning it for a full day.
My second headset is now staying somewhere safe until I actually need it >.>

Yep, I have two headsets, one for Xbox Live and one for my PC. Funnily enough, I use neither, as I can't get up the nerve to talk without expecting someone to spew verbal bile in my direction.

I'm wearing a headset right now for this pc, but considering the fact that using it for communicating in online games is a rarity it might as well be a pair of headphones. As for the 360 I own a pair but I only ever use it when I'm in a party with friends (and even then the stuff I say usually ranges from screaming obscenities to praising Batman which is par for the course when with a group of people you know).

On PC? Seriously? What game are you playing?

I own one, but I never use it, which is weird since I actually do like wearing them for some reason.

I own a headset for my PC, I don't have any speakers but I just like headsets better.

I tend not to speak in online games because I usually say stupid warble garbled sentences that don't make sense and when I do say something that makes sense people won't listen because I'm a girl. Generally.

For talking to friends yes, but I rarely want to speak to randoms on the internet. I often play with music anyways.

PC and yes, spent $85 on these babies, 7.1 surround and all. My gaming community has TS up all the time and I'll BS when I'm not gaming, and when we are I always use it. Helps with team cohesion and comms, an average squad with good voice comms can completely knock out a good squad without voice comms.

We grew up on Battlefield 2, and I think it's a necessity to have voice between squads, snipers, tanks and aircraft. Makes the game 100 times better!

I mostly play on the PC, so yes.

Bought the Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 headset not too long ago, as my new set.
Headset/Mic combo. Very convenient.

I have a relatively cheap headset. It doesn't provide much tactical advantage in the Alltalk TF2 server I spent most of my online gaming time in, but I love being in on the conversation and I have made some great friends on said server. Also, we have weekly Highlander tournaments, wherein it provides quite the advantage to my team, as communication is key.
