So they're making a Heavenly Sword movie... without Andy Serkis.

I'd say that's like going back and remaking the Street Fighter movie without Raul Julia, but they did that.

And how the Hell is it that this looks less graphically impressive than a PS3 launch game?

But...why? We already have an animated version of this story and we can freaking play that. I fail to see the point here.

If it's faithful to the game, you'll be able to watch it just fine, but in order to see the ending you have to complete a full marathon with bare fee on hot pavement while people throw pineapples at you.

Failure to complete this task will result in you never being able to see how it ends unless you look it up on YouTube.

Wow visually it looks awful comparing it to the game.

Also why this even?
Why not just make a sequel?
Why is there no Serkis?
Did DmC really hurt Ninja Theory that bad financially?
WHY?!

Clearly this movie was clamored for by the fans who really loved the game. Based on the trailer the cliche riddled prattle of the old man, the trite one warrior vs. and army of nameless mooks combat, nor the dull artstyle differentiate it from any other action fantasy movie.

I mean why not something like El Shaddai? That was a crazy game in every respect and at the very least would make for a visually engaging film, even when sober.
